So I've done some poking around but cannot find a straightforward answer... Does the Korin Obi factor into the Cure Potency % equipment cap or is it still added on after the fact and is a completely different stat like the other obis?

The day multiplier is applied after all other modifiers, including cure potency. If you are at the cure potency cap, obi will still increase your cure values.
