no i have tried full aurore set on thf and i hate it, and yes i should be swapping different gear in for SATA.

I totally see what your saying, but sometimes as i am a human, i will forget to switch out of dusk and wonder.. why the hell am i running so slow? This is why i got rid of them in the first place, as i used to be a Dynamis leader who would pull every run on my THF, it was very rare i would actually need to TP anything, because mobs lasted seconds and there was no need for me to be in there except to TH the mob.

I think buying dusk and having a macro there to switch out every single time i want to run anywhere, just to ensure i get 1% extra haste, when i could get ocelot gloves, although i already have capped haste, is just not feasible to me.

Because they're like 5K is why they're feasible. And we don't know what your gear set looks like, so I'm just going to assume that Dusk > Aurore unless you literally haven other place to drop 1% haste for better stats.

only place i could drop 1% haste is to use my homam legs in place of the afv3 legs, which i suppose i could use my legs just to to Sa and WS in, therefore i could get dusk or ocelot to ensue i have the 26% haste as well as using the fast cast for my utsu NI with my homam legs, i think i would much rather get ocelot gloves though, as they look cool and dont have the movement speed-. :)

AF3 legs are better than Homam for TP, they offer 2acc as well as increased crit rate. The only thing I use Homan for is Utsusemi. And yes get some Ocelot gloves if you don't like to use dusk.

i suppose i can, but i also move around a lot when in a party, having dusk on will just slow down my flow of getting off SATA, i never see any thf using dusk nowadays, i think its just a personal preference
I hate when people say this. There isn't such a thing as a personal preference for any type of gear set except town gear. You can find the optimal set by simply looking around (possibly some number crunching) and seeing what's best for the situation.

25% is gear haste cape (256/1024). A typical 25% haste gear set will get you to 252~255/1024. The next 1% haste (26%) caps you out at 256/1024, but is only a 0.1-0.4% haste increase.

Thanks, it's only been said like 5 times on the first page.

It's mostly because, as someone already pointed out, we no longer need the hand slot at all in order to cap haste. Moreover Dusk Gloves were never huge for THF because Homam Manopolas were better unless you had Dusk +1.

However I'm fairly certain there would be a way to better optimize your TP set using Dusk.

EDIT: I just checked your profile, and assuming that was your TP gear, Homam Gambieras with Dusk Gloves would do slightly more for you than Aurore with Ballerines.

Seeing as the AF3 thf hands have amazing DD stats, it would be silly to use dusk if you can cap haste without them.

He could potentially drop Aurore Hands for AF3 hands, and use a Tiercel Necklace. He wouldn't be exactly at haste cap.

But otherwise he lacks the extra 3% haste from +2s to do that.

Not sure if trolling...
TH is applied with the first enmity generating action, you can take off any TH+ gear after that.

The information is very helpful :) I am just going to +2 my THF afv3 at some point then when i have the haste cap without Aurore gloves, i will use the AFv3 Hands, like Kirana said they have great DD stats.

But what if he wants to proc that TH up! Clearly he just wants TH10+ on everything.

Then he can smack it with TH+ on and change gear after the first hit.
