Which is better in normal zones (no abyssea)

Keep in mind I have extra triple attack from toci's set bonus and triple attack on the assassin's poulaines plus extra dmg bonus when assassin's charge is up.
or

Athos's Tabard paired with the Athos's boots give me more dex and crit dmg+

Maybe i want to use assassin's poulaines and athos's tabard?

Also would hecatomb mittens +1 with dagger skill and crit damage +4 beat out raider's +2 on SA + Rudra's?

Also keep in mind I am taru with max INT merits because my main job is blm :)

What augment do you have on your Hecatomb Subligar +1? Slow +15% is not beneficial to gather TP..

Hmm I'd probably go with Toci's harness as it has the most attributes towards a Weapon skill (Attack - higher Dex/Agi - also accuracy for multi hit (even if your capped dagger skill this game has a way of making you miss!)) and Athos's Boots (boots have 3 more DEX than Raiders feet +2 and accuracy).. just ma opinion...

I know the optimal set is out there but I think-- for Rudra's, that Set 1 would be best UNSTACKED. Stacked with SA or TA set 2. I'm not sure about the boots Athos' is probably best in both, but I think maybe Assasin's Feet are good with stacked Assasin's Charge. I'm not sure on the numbers though.

For Stacked Rudras im sure you want athos body in there for the crit hit dmg + (I use lokis I dont have it yet)

My set is similar but I use Heca feet+1 with str +4 augment on feet and I macro Af2+2 feet when charge is up.

Another difference is I off hand tp bonus knife, I do dynamis alot (building aegis) and I have noticed consistent dmg increase off handing it over say dex kila or str dagger.

As the FTP goes up from 100-200tp this comes as no suprise any way but just eye balling consistency soloing ws dmg is 2800-4500 on crabs or mandragoras and 5k+ spikes on birds (area bubu)

Neck I use Justicar's Torque or gorget depending on what food I use.

What about athos legs 5 dex increases crit hit dmg how do they fair for a stacked SA rudras still worse than heca +1?

Let's see here.

Athos legs > Heca Subligar+1
Athos body > Toci harness

Unless you really need the atk, which in most cases, you don't.

And AF3+2 hands > Heca Mittens+1

Also when you're using Rudra with assassin's charge, macro in Demonry ring, AF2+2 feet and a dex earring.

Assassin's charge is a waste of even 1 merit imo

Unstacked, you shouldn't be using rudra. Exent only.

And idk about you guys, but when I use assassin's charge, I tend to use prosilio belt. Correct me if that's a bad idea please.

Because the other options are totally screaming to get merited?

I use PRO belt even without assassin's charge.

And obtaining a 1-hit WS(Mercy or Rudra) really is a game changer for THF in a lot of ways. One of the ways is that triple attack proc is incredibly potent compared to DE/Evis; hence, Assassin's charge is well worth meriting even before the change.

It's also got pretty mediocre competition.

Aura Steal: OK, but situational.
Ambush: :|
Feint: ITT: Treasure Hunter
Assasin's Charge: potent boost to single hit WS, usable on recast just about every time.

Figured I'll ask here since they've been mentioned already, but do Heca gloves +1 have any utility at all with perfect augments? I have both Mandau and Twash and debating on +1'ing these just to finish the set but not really sure if there's any sense in spending 800k on them if I won't be using them.

If your question is should I be using STR-Magian instead of Coruscanti, the answer is yes.

Or if the question is should I be using heca legs for evis and athos for rudra then the answer is also yes.
