Hi there. This is a slight guide on my variation to the standard casino game.

I'm writing this to A) state the cold hard facts and B) to put a stand of ownership on it :P I don't care who tries it, but I atleast want some people recognized for the help they gave while I tested and tweaked it.

The premise is simple, by using a COR roll, if I get either V or XI you win. V is worth x2 of your original bet. XI is worth x3. You are allowed two double-ups which you can use by saying DU. If you want to stick you can do so by saying NO. Double-up can wear off quickly, so if you want to double up you best do so quickly. The downside is the recast time after you have used two rolls. I tend to try and space them out.

The odds are approx: 47.22% of winning for the player. (34/72)

On Asura, that's higher than the average /random casino. Not sure about other servers but I'd like some feedback. I'm testing this out to earn some money and break away from the traditional casino games. I'd like to mention that Casinos (Although annoying) are not in violation of the ToA. This has been confirmed my various GMs earlier today >.>;

As you know Corsair's can tweak for wins, but not for losses. So as long as the COR isn't trying to use this to win, it's all good.

An example game would be:

<Askura> Say DU to double up, NO to stick, and GO to start! GL! :O
<Player> GO!
Askura uses Corsair's Roll. The total comes to 1!
<Player> DU
Askura uses Double-Up.
The total for Corsair's Roll increases to 6!
<Player> DU!
Askura uses Double-Up.
The total for Corsair's Roll increases to 11!
<Askura> WIN! :D
<Player> Woo!

Obviously that is an ideal game for a player. It won't always be so smooth.

Anyway, I'd like to thank Keelikat for playtesting, Theking, for the same, Darwi for confirming the odds with me, and Atharia for helping me deal with large influxes of people and being my 2nd Corsair roll when I'm waiting on the recast.

I know a lot of people are anti casino. But I'm trying to put a new spin on it. This has probably been tried before, but probably not with such in depth testing.

Yeah, this is just a fun way to play a game within the game. I hardly see this as a "make tons of gil for no effort" method. If you want that, get a tele/fishing bot.

Well I'm slowly using this to get back my hagun after losing it after a friend was hacked. I'm not that rich and I've burnt most my BS, ISP and sold lower gear. This is quite fun for both parties involved, and is something new.

Plus, I like to gamble. This is a fun game, and I'd like to see what I can do with it.

This is a cool idea, if it gets popular enough you could have it moved to a boat or an airship so it is like a gambling trip. The boat in Carpenter's landing would be great for that.

Can you break down your math as to show how hitting two out of twelve possible numbers is nearly half of the possible outcomes in three rolls? I'm pretty curious.
