Which fake empy weapon is worth getting especially considering it will be either empy90 or fake empy 99?
I'm trying to get a returning player somehow geared up for endgame

Well hard to tell. Normally none are worth making but SE is trying to make it to where the fake empy weapons will give you the ability to have a perm empy WS, so the empy with worthwhile WS are the ones to make.
well the retuning players want h2h or ukon. both which is awfull to farm for.
si isntedi mtihnking to do his fake empy's for him so he at least gets a decent weapon. are they really that bad that other ah/abyssea drop/ToM weapons are better ? Ignoring the whole "we might let you unlock the WS" benefit, gun is sort of worth it if only to have an awesome brew/amber weaponskill.
From what I've read people tend to do the aftermath or bust method. I know h2h and GA are annoying to do (working on GA atm), but the time getting to the 99 fake, you'd be largely there for the 85/90 emp. However 99 fake is better than nothing if they aren't going to do the emp.
SE is talking about letting you unlock the WS if you have the 99 coin weapon so you get that and use it with the delve weapon but they are just talking about unlocking the WS so we are probly a few updates off of this
