We have diverse group of active people on these forums. I was hoping people could share documentaries they have watched with everyone with a brief description of what the feature is about.

There are more and more bad documentaries being made these days, and its time consuming to filter the bad from the good. Perhaps you all can assist one another by posting links to some good ones or making mention of them.

Also, feel free to respond to someone's posted documentary where an argument has been presented with a counter-documentary (example someone posts a link to the "Zeitgeist" documentaries - a second person posts "dismantling Zeitgeist") documentaries)

I'm not going post my own documentary on the OP as to not dictate the tone. I will however post further down as the thread develops (should it develop lol)

Region locked garbage.

God knows how I loathe region locks. And seems like USA people love it so much.

Murderball is a personal favorite.

"Murderball is a 2005 American documentary film about physically disabled athletes who play wheelchair rugby. It centers on the rivalry between the Canadian and U.S. teams leading up to the 2004 Paralympic Games."

Ancient Greeks: Spartan Invasion | History Channel Documentary
Narrated by Liam Neeson and somewhere in the middle I am pretty sure Patrick Stewart does some narration as well.

Jewish Holocaust revisionist, David Cole's "Cole in Auschwitz"
As a result of this Documentary, David Cole had to change his identity and has only recently resurfaced. Banned in many European countries so it might not work for some.

The thing I love about this documentary is its ambivalence about Jiro as a person. His son HATES him, and yet is a sushi chef himself because Jiro never gave him the opportunity to be anything else.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is an excellent one. And does River Monsters count?

And I'm so dumb. I want to see Cosmos SO BAD so I bought it... on Blu-Ray. I don't have any consoles that can play a Blu-Ray. I needed it on DVD. But I'm way too selfish to let it out of my sight, whether I can watch it or not, so it's sitting on my shelf first in line to be watched as soon as I get a Blu-Ray player!

Blue Planet is also pretty darn cool. Highly recommend!

They have these things called a blu-ray player, should look them up.

Using consoles to play movies is and pretty much always has been a bad idea.

That's not a documentary.

That's biased reporting from a source that has no clue as what "objective reporting" means.
