I am not sure. What I always notice is when I go into abby and start AOEing mobs, it occurs more often. Try finding a camp near the npc and AOE the mobs. :)

That actually helped. Guessing it has to how many people killing mobs around the zone, would explain why we used to see these battles accour so much more often back when abyssea was hot
