trying to pool info on the best strat needed for this NM and what the fight entails please share info if you have any.

A few basic questions we can start with

1. is this mob evasive? if so how much acc would a melee require?
2. basic set up required?
3. does this mob do anything dangerous?

thanks in advanced for your input.

pty1: pld/war x2, brd, rdm/whm, smn x2

pty2: blm/rdm x3, rdm, thf, sam/war

have sam and thf make light skillchain, blm's mb with thunder IV, mages do their job supporting etc

smns rotate aerial armor on plds, other pld flashes when pld with hate gets terrored

plds provoke in as much koenig as they can get for that sweet, sweet CHR. CHR modifies provoke. infact just go ahead and fulltime their koenig for that mad VIT. mad defence from mad VIT.

it is recommended plds have brought the BDT- sword from other linkshells prior to your own engagements so they can reduce breath damage

We did pld, thf, thf, geo (frail/torp dunna), whm brd was simple straightforward.

PLD would swiftblade open darkness for Thf rudra and second Thf would close double drk rudra. It was dead in 2-3 minutes tops each pop.

Has this thing been altered at all in the previous 6 months? Tried a setup almost identical to the one recommended in this thread, and we did not have the same experience. First 20% of his hp disappeared in about 20 seconds, then I got 1 shot (BLU, /run, barwater, watersday, MG...). From then on fight was a disaster; kept curing itself and eventually just laughed silence off.

Is there some type of secret technique to making this so easy? Or did SE just maybe make this thing harder? I've noticed a lot of the testimonies don't mention him cure bombing himself. Is there maybe a way to stagger him?

When we fought it Dark SC dmg staggered it I think. Just used pld Thf Dnc Geo Whm Cor. Had another pt with Geo Rdm Smn Smn i think. Non-idris geos btw.
Set-up a 3 step Darkness SC which dropped like 30% of its HP each time. RDM kept it silenced, and put Inundation on it.(GEO in rdm pt use Focus/Langour at start to help land it for full duration silence then switched to Vex/Frailty.
Geo in main pt used Attune/Precision/Entrust-Fury(when available). Cor did Hunters/Chaos.
Pyrric > Evis > Rudras Double Dark.

We did it as pld whm geo sch, pld tank on its feet and just sc/mb thunder til it dies. Was a slow and steady fight, but adding a blm or 2 would speed it up if that's concerning. Best of luck.
