Its time for E3 again! Always the most exciting time for gamers, there has been a shakeup this year in the scheduling, poor Microsoft is desperate to showcase its product so they moved up their press conference, and of course that caused other publishers to try to one up them, except Sony, cuz they just don't care! Here is the schedule along with confirmed games/expected games/games that won't be there..
Saturday June 10th
EA Play 12 pm PDT 4 pm EST
EA kicks it off, two days from today, with their EA Play debut. EA always has the standard, generic press conference, definitely expect to see FIFA and Madden, Battlefront 2, Battlefield One DLC, and probably a new IP from Bioware.
Sunday June 11th
Microsoft 2 pm PDT 5 pm EST Microsoft leads off on Sunday, definitely expect them to dedicate a lot of time to the Scorpio, the official name, how much more powerful it is than the PS4 Pro, how much it costs, when its coming out, what bundles, Scorpio Scorpio Scorpio! As far as games, well as usual, Forza will be there, Halo news not related to Halo 6, you would hope Crackdown 3, if Microsoft is very lucky Destiny 2 but I doubt it. This is going to be a Scorpio-centric conference.
Bethesda 7 PM PDT 10 PM EST Maybe?? Bethesda closes out Sunday, and they are being kinda wishy washy about the times, they have announced the livestream will kick off two hours after the previously announced start time (??). I guess we will see, they have seemingly confirmed that will be two new games revealed, and I expect them to announce some Switch support as well.
Monday June 12
PC Gaming show 10 am PDT 1 pm EST For the one PC gamer on this site, Prothescar, PC show is usually pretty subdued. Enjoy, Proth.
Ubisoft 1 PM PDT 4 EST Its time to hype this amazing rumor from Ubi: Aisha Tyler might not be hosting this year! This is great news for us gamers. But here is the bad news: Vivendi has still not bought Ubisoft, so they are still the same terrible game devs feeding us these laggy, buggy, dysfunctional games that lose 90% of their playerbase within the first two months. Except for Rainbow Six.
So, onto the games from Ubi! Assassin's Creed is confirmed, Far Cry 5, the Crew 2, SouthPark (again), Just Dance, (does this sound familiar?) and one actual new IP, a Mario + Rabbids crossover for the Switch.
Sony 6 pm PDT 9 pm EST Sony kept their traditional Monday evening slot, they don't seem to concerned about the competition these days. God of War is all but confirmed to be the main exclusive with a release date expected this fall. Destiny 2 will lead off the conference (I'm positive), Days Gone, Spiderman, and Detroit: Become Human are all expected. I would also expect to see some Square Enix games. Kojima has confirmed no Death Stranding.
Tuesday June 13
Nintendo 9 am PDT 12 pm EST This is a big one for Nintendo, they have a lot they can talk about and hopefully they get to everything the fans want to hear. All they have confirmed is Mario Odyssey, but I expect Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Fire Emblem, at the very least. Its just hopes and prayers after that, but hopefully they reduce the prices of some of their accessories, and make the Switch more attractive with some Wii U games.
Square Enix is doing a 3 day event starting Wednesday, its basically all day and its focused on a lot of Final Fantasy news. That should be a lot of fun but I don't have the exact times (I'll add them later).
Enjoy the conference this year!
