Since someone who will remain nameless started this convo. Name the 10 reasons why you hate WoW or 10 reasons you play FFxi over WoW. I'll have to think of mine because well there's a lot of reasons. Be nice to each other!:)

i only need 1 reason. the players come to FFXI with some dumbass WOW mentality and they suck it up on this game and take the player base with them. happened to 14 and now its happening here. BUILD THE WALL

I never liked the graphics or how easy it was to level crafting or level.

Sure, why not:

  1. The leveling experience between 1 and 100 is utterly broken and pointless. 100 to 110 is fine the first time but once you finish, and you will finish every zone for rep, it's a drag leveling alts.

  2. Stats have been simplified to the point of absurdity.

  3. RNG with legendaries combined with the power of certain legendaries causing heartburn for people not lucky enough to have gotten them.

  4. The IRL time-gated flight unlocking for Legion sucks. *** SURAMAR.

  5. WoW still has no grasp on storytelling or taking the universe's great lore and, you know, putting it in the *** game.

  6. Talents and glyphs have been "streamlined"; there's basically no differentiation.

  7. Warcraft's graphical engine is very aged and it does not scale well with the modern features that Blizzard has added.

  8. "Because demons" for yet another expansion. Enough!

  9. Classes feel very "same-y", weak class differentiation abounds.

  10. The art is ok but inconsistent. You'll have these models created alongside the Sega Dreamcast living with more modern stylized models. It's jarring.

Aww, I missed the meltdown in that other thread.

Apparently, somebody called girlboy a little ***.

Anyone who's anyone here knows s/he's a drama queen. And Oklahoman, but that's an incurable disease.

Anyway, 10 reasons why I hate WoW:

1. Never played it.
2. See 1.
3. See 2.
4. See 3.
5. See 4.
6. See 5.
7. See 6.
8. See 7.
9. See 8.
10. Kojo played it once.

#6 and #10 are my triggers.

I actually enjoyed WoW back when I did play it up until progression and exploration became more of a chore than fun or interesting.
Also on that note, it was extremely disheartening how progression moved quicker than one was able to observe or partake in the game's content. I remember how frustrating it was to find a really cool new zone, only to realize I had outleveled it's use long ago and the only thing left to was skip it and move onto the relevant designated things.

Oh man, I can only imagine how much more amazing XI would be if SE actually gave half a ***about it. I remember fawning over the proposed custom, player-made events, dungeons, etc back in 2007, but it was never to be...
