What's Everyone's Goals For 2018?

Thought it would be cool to have a discussion thread for what you're working on in game for the new year.

I rerolled in September and had trouble with getting much done on my new THF. I've decided to gear GEO to have an in demand Ambuscade / end game job to gear my favourite jobs, which is THF right now.

For me right now:

1) Working on Coalition assignments ASAP. Currently 1/6 legend rank with Couriers, now working on inventors. Idris is of course the goal.

2) Going to take advantage of the skill up campaign starting on Jan 10th to get Ele, Enfeeb, Dark, Handbell and Geo skill maxed. Don't have any sparks left for books.

3) Just unlocked the Mog Garden. Wish I did it sooner. Going to max that for CP bonus.

4) 4/6 on Wildskeeper Rieves. Still need the shark and that tree that dooms everyone. This can be done sooner than others, obviously.

5) Get the JSE equipment for GEO.

6) Stack up on a bunch of chapters to finish reforging GEO / THF JSE.

7) Finish capping merit categories. 57/75 for merit carry cap.

8) Use my Geared GEO to get SR done and get some Dagger's for my THF.

9) Ambu x 1000 for gil.

10) Master THF and GEO later in the year.



What are your goals / looking forward to?

Make 10 nirvana's

Escutcheon, aeonic then any REMA that i feel like.

Complete all the relevant Relic+3 equipment I feel like farming for my 10 (!!!) jobs.
i.e. not gonna happen lol

Unless some happily joyful campaign like the Omen ones start happening after summer, I guess xD

Mine is finish out epeo, idris. And finish out all aeonics late starter on them

Become a better player.

Build the high summoner army.

finish all my job simulations and combine them into one big one that integrates gear swap and ashitacast so it will automatically detect user augments.

make a yagrush, burtgang, whm (empy) club, and prob a nirvana.
and master more jobs.

start a 2nd character.

I've thought about this, but I couldn't bring myself to dual box. I would feel compelled to do all the missions / unlocks again and that makes me cringe.

most aren’t that bad with mounts, home points, and survival guides.

1) Finish COR job guide, including the video components.
2) Finish 5/5 COR relic +3 pieces.
3) Finish 5/5 Oshosi +1 for COR.
4) Finish the remaining missing HQ accessories for COR.
5) Finish Abyssea quests to complete stat vorseals.
6) 2100 some other jobs and complete aeonic for them, If I have time and feel like it.

Finally quit the game.

oh wait, in game? well, I guess there is the Gastraphetes and Epeolatry I started. beyond that? stuff.

a. Ukonvasara 90-> 119III
b. Bravura start to finish

2. Get that Yagnas trust

3. Maybe Idris

4. Maybe full REMA BRD from scratch.

5. Finish any missions I haven’t done yet.

Speaking of which, I was watching some old video of myself playing COR many years ago and I was like wtf I played the job better with much better QD/JA timing back then.

I play COR maybe 5% of time these days, even though I keep collecting gears for it due to the lack of practice its real rusty. Should be another 2018 goal to brig it back for real!

1: 119-3 my Excalibur. Currently needing 9k more plutons.
2: 119-3 my Rhongomiant. Currently on Keeper of Halidom kills so quite a bit to go.
3: Get as best gear that I can for my RDM and DRG
4: Finally unlock COR. Only job I never unlocked for some reason.
5: Get most if not all jobs to 99 with at least 50 JP.
6: Maybe a Mythic and Aeonic for some jobs if I really want to punish myself.

After I finish a couple sets of mythics doing a ton more testing/figuring out jp testing

still a handful of things I need to get around to testing too, but lazy

I'm going to be more tolerant towards stupid people. There's alot of them nowadays

Corsair is definitely on my radar, but I've barely touched anything Escha/Reisem.

That'll be a goal too.
