Alexander Fight Hard?

my question is can other people enter the fight to help the smn get the avatar, without having had mined the items or recieved the lightning cell

That would be a no. Everyone needs the key item.

I haven't tried it yet but I would imagine everyone needs the key item sort of like fenrir fight.

Just get the key items, the fight has awesome rewards.

I tried the fight the other day, we wiped. It's actually not a horribly hard fight. But you can get run if you don't prepare for his 2hr. This version of Alex moves around and spawns little robot babies, they have low hp but seem to be immune to debuffs. The debuffs you would bother to throw on them at any rate like sleep grav and bind (rng's shadowbind worked though). It's also only a 15 min fight, hes got much much lower hp and def than he does in the final toau fight.

I beat this abut 1-3hrs after i Posted Topic was Easy imo. Odin was ok

first time I tried the thing we went with 4 players... PLD, RDM, SAM, DRG. We lost at 17%, being overwhelmed by the adds.

Went again the next night with 6 players, PLD, RDM, WHM, SAM, MNK, THF. Never came close to losing, as we all just beat up Alex himself and ignored his adds. Super easy fight, no deaths, and no two hours used.

The basic idea is to defeat Alexander before you're overwhelmed by the adds, so you could pretty much load up on the heavy melee and guarantee your win. Any heavy two hour abilities will go further to ensuring your win, so SAMs and MNKs come at a premium. Couldnt say how Alex reacts to reacts to Souleater/Blood Weapon zergs, but it'd be interesting to try.

and i see there is a series of 3 fights for both alex/odin :o

Fairly easy if you have WHM,BRD and 4 DD that can zerg. But hey isnt everything easy with a zerg?
Trick is to kill it before it pops the images.
