So, I finished my RDM AF3 and was testing the "Increases enhancing magic effect duration" on them. I thought at first it would be a 70% duration increase from 5/5 AF3 + cape. But after a few tests I found out the duration of my haste and refresh were 92.5% more than normal.

Here's a few screenshots I took of this extended duration:

Haste:
Start

End

180 * 1.925 = 346.5

Refresh:
Start

End

150 * 1.925 = 288.75


So I have concluded that the set bonus adds 22.5% time increase to enhancing magic duration if every piece really adds 10% duration.

Just wanted to contribute something for those RDMs that are planning on getting this AF3+2 set in the future. I am still doing more testing so if you have the set too don't be afraid to contribute! :)

I'm confused.

The set bonus should be 40%, 10% for the first 2 pieces, then an additional 30% for the remaining pieces.

The Increases "Enhancing Magic" Duration on the boots should be 20% but calculated before the set bonus, whereas the Cape is 10%, again calculated separate from the set bonus.

Is this not correct? Or have I just misread you?

Set bonus from pieces is 40%, boots add 20% and cape adds 10% making it 70% only. Having all 5 pieces of AF3+2 increases this duration by 22.5% more. So 92.5% total.

Yeah, I wish you could edit yarnball to adjust the time according to how many AF3+2 pieces you have or something. But oh well...

Ya, this has been bugging me lately with BRD songs and RDM and WHM buffs. Have the Aoidos' Mantinee and working on the Hongreline, and they're going to feel practically useless when I'm just going to go cast again because I see that Yarnball said it's worn.

You need composure activated to get the extended enhancing magic duration. If you don't have composure on you'll only get 30% duration increase (Feet and cape).

If you cast buffs on yourself you get the 92.5% duration increase and the triple duration bonus from self composured buffs. So it's pretty nice.

I remember the bonus is being only when you cast buffs on others , the set bonus doesn't apply to buffs you cast on self , except for the bonus you get from feet/cape .

Hmm... Never really noticed that. I guess I lose track of time when the buffs last so long even without the extended duration.

I just got the body+2 and I'm curious if the +10% effect to enfeebles can possibly take you over the slow2 cap of ~40% with 5/5 merits. If not then I'm going to switch some merits around.

I believe it does go beyond cap but its not like 40% -> 50% its probably 40% -> 44%.
