Cloudsplitter Setup

I'm not sure how to post a gear setup, but I wanted to see what the Farsha ppl are using for Cloudsplitter, both gear/atma. My thoughts:

WS Gear: (so far)
Thunder Gorget
Thunder Belt
Twilight Helm
Grim Cuirass
Misc. STR/MND rings/earrings/back

Rest of the gear idk, but atma-wise I'm assuming:

VV (big str modifier)
Ultimate (macc/mab)
Blinding Horn (lightning elemental attack major)

Thoughts?

Things I'm pondering...sub out VV for another MAB atma?

No testing performed yet

1. Atma of the Lion
2. Atma of Blinding Horn
3. VV or another MAB Atma (Ultimate or Hell's Guardian).

Wouldn't you be losing out on a lot of TP phase damage by going full MAB/Thunder Attack +?

Your setup is mostly lightning attack w/ either STR or MAB, depending on 3rd atma. Wouldn't some of all (like my setup) be a bit more beneficial? Opinion?

1) You're gimping your tp phase by a lot with those atmas.
2) I'm not really sure on modifiers for elemental weaponskills, but Twilight mail might work better than Grim cuirass in this case.

With a good haste setup and VV atma (not to mention native DA/crit traits I somewhat disagree. The goal of this is big ws dmg

Cloudsplitter will not be a responsible option in Abyssea with anything short of a brew. If your goal is max damage without a brew:
* Atma of the Lion, Atma of the Ultimate, Atma of the Smiting Blow
* With a brew, drop Atma of the Ultimate for Atma of the Blinding Horn

For DDing with Farsha, you're going to do the best damage with:
* Atma of the Razed Ruins, Atma of the Apocalypse, and either Atma of the Voracious Violet or some kind of Crit or Crit/STP Atma

I'm familiar with DD'n it, so this is why I wanna know what it takes to put up other numbers like I see ppl w/ twash/kann/masa putting up. I'm sure it can be accomplished, I want the 4-5k weaponskills too :)

I don't see why a good haste setup matters for your tp/ws split. If you have VV on, you actually get a higher ws phase damage split from a low haste setup.

As long as you know that while aiming for big ws dmg youre lowering your overall by decreasing tp phase.

If you want to put up 4-5k ws get ukko's. cloudsplitter doing 4-5k is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE when you have to use 3 MAB atmas.

I'm guessing he already has Farsha, so talking about getting Ukko's is totally irrelevant..

On topic, I've been wanting to do Farsha myself, after I finish Almace, and was wondering how Warrior would do with it. Just proccing the aftermath then going to town seemed to be a cool thing to look forward to. Plus, you can spam Rampage every once in a while.

I think it needs to be said again.

Switching all your Atmas to MAB instead offensive ones like RR/Apoc/etc, You Will Gimp your Damage so drastically during your TP phase any damage gained via WS will be almost completely moot, Null and void.

You're better off using VV/RR/Apoc and Spamming Rampage, using Cloudsplitter just enough to keep Aftermath active. I'm sorry to say its a ***weaponskill for anything outside of Brewing. Yes it can get high numbers, But you have to sacrifice so much else its not worth it. The Reason Rudra's/etc get so high numbers is because they're all Physical, and as such benefit from Physical Atmas like VV, RR, and Apoc. Cloudsplitter does not, and in order to get it on-par with those other Weaponskills, You give up too much.


On Topic:
The Best Suggestions have been made, Atma of the Lion, Ultimate, etc. Anything with "MAB:Superior+" or "Lightning Elemental Attack: Major+" on it is nice. Some Mods like VV (STR+50) is good too.

Stop being gimp and use a Great Axe, even with just Raging Rush a WAR/SAM will destroy Farsha.
