Hello I'm currently looking for help on my Upheaval ws set. This is what I'm currently using Your text to link here... I'm only 2/5 on merits for it. Versa mufflers have VIT+5 on them. any help allowing me to optimize my damage on this ws will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Wouldn't using Light belt be better than using Shadow?

As long as a belt or gorget works for a WS, one doesn't work better than another. Also, I am pretty certain centaurus earring beats Ravager earring. Other than that and a Oneiros's pebble looks really solid to me.

Apathy Gorget/Warwolf Should come out ahead barring accuracy issues. TP bonus moonshade beats anything else I could think of offhand (didn't check Vamp earring since, night only).

How so? Testing has shown the fTP value is not carried through past the 1st hit for Upheaval.

Ear options are pretty limited though. There isn't much there in the first place. On the WAR spread sheet I have, TP bonus moonshade is coming out ~ 80 damage better than anything else I can put there.

Oh wow, huh. Is this the same spreadsheet that's been mentioned elsewhere in the WAR forums in testing contexts?

click on download original and go from there. If you add any gear to the gear list, do it in the middle, don't insert a new row at the top or bottom of a list, or it wont work for some reason.

0.125 fTP is more of a benefit than you'd even see out of a gorget and options are significantly more limited for your second ear slot (Brutal being a given).

So any confirmation on what gorgets/belts are aligned with upheaval and if they are worth using?

Unless I'm mistaken, I think this is currently the best Upheaval build there can be:

I'm assuming since it can edge out Bier Belt+1 for Shoha it should beat warwolf. Using it for Ukkos atm anyways.

Valkyries Breastplate with TA+3 will beat Ares appart from that yeah. As mentioned Windbuffet possibly beats out Warwolf Belt though I personally haven´t seen any math on it yet.
Edit: think Ejiin mentioned Twilight Helm beating AF3+2 on non-fodder mobs i.e. higher tier VW NMs etc

On stronger stuff I have Ravager's Orb beating that ammo as well, assuming accuracy is still close to capped.

Fort torque is fairly decent as well. Spiral beats at least one Terrasoul. Ogier's pulls ahead if acc uncapped.

Let me open by saying: No offense/challenge intended:

Why does Spiral ring beat at least one Terrasoul? With such a large modifier on VIT wouldn't it be better to stack that where possible? Or are you calculating that the STR modifies overall attack numbers more favorably after a certain point?

5 STR can give you 1 rank on Fstr, but with such a heavy VIT mod Terrasoul be equally or better then Spiral. Stacking VIT can give you a higher WSC and especially with the 100% mod it may impact Upheaval more then 1 rank in fSTR that Spiral Ring would give.

Terrasoul should pull ahead on Upheaval. The case in which spiral would be better is when you are using say Torcleaver on DRK.

Upheaval= 100% VIT mod I would say Terrasoul all the way.
Torcleaver= 60% VIT mod so gaining 5 STR[1 fSTR about] in the place of 2 VIT may benefit you slightly more.

On a weaponskill where the Mod isn't 100% FSTR can still be important. But VIT alone would directly increase the base DMG correct? With Upheaval's heavy VIT mod you may benefit more from the 2 VIT> the 5 STR.

I'm thinking stack VIT where you can. But the difference between a spiral ring and a pyrosoul ring would be small. Then again every little but adds up in the end.

Nightfyre or anyone else mind critiquing this for me here? I'm majoring in criminal justice, Math not so much.

all the mods are (*0.85) at 99 btw also Fstr durring weaponskills is fstr2 meaning 1fstr is about 2-3 STR not 4-5
