This is the Motherboard i'm using on the PC i'm building
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514
but just found out that the power supply that came with the case (thought i was saving some money buying them together) doesn't have a 8 pin ATX_12v for the extra power thing it has a 4 pin one ..and all the videos i have seen ppl build comp it was 4 pin. So my question is whats the correct power supply i'm looking for that will have the 8 pin? idk brand power supply case came with cuz it has a sticker same brand as case "Raidmax Blackstorm" Any info will be appreciated ^_^/ PSU also doesn't have plugs for the SYS_FAN1,2 and 3 which are 3 and 4 pins

Yea... I only see combos being good if they're a mobo/CPU combo cause you know they'll work together. If you get something like a case/PSU it forces you to adapt to the PSU which you don't really want to adapt to something as replaceable as the PSU.

On the topic of that converter - Yes, it will work fine. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the extra 4 pins are typically for extra grounding, not so much extra power. Based on what I've read, people have no problem even overclocking with a 8 pin mobo to 4 pin PSU design.

Theres nothing wrong with Case & PSU bundles just get a good one, I've built 2 PC's so far with the CM 690 II & GX 650 bundle and there great.

BUMP: i didn't want to make a whole new thread just for this so...
I have a couple questions:
#1 i heard in videos about building PCs that the very first time you plug your PC to power the switch on the PSU has to be on "ON" ..is that true?
and #2 will a 200mm LED fan fit in 180mm fan holes? since the 200mm ones seem to have the mounting holes different..

#1 Urban legend.

#2 There is no standard 200mm fan mounting as there is with 90mm/120mm/140mm etc. So you may get it to work, you may not. They do sell spiffy little extender thingies though to convert 120mm to 140mm, might try those if all else fails.

I wanna use this fan for my side panel but the panel only has holes for 120mm and 180mm and no store seems to sell 180mm for some stupid reason ..so can i screw this to the 180mm holes?

This is the case and psu right?

It should fit yes seems like the pc will be functional if not a little tacky with the blue leds everywhere and blue highlights on the case. Don't get me started on the led fan in the PSU.

Sure the LEDs will look cool for a little while but they will soon be annoying after a while, hopefully the case has some sort of led on/off switch. If not you can easily clip out the leds from the fans for a more subtle looking PC.

Aesthetics aside, I think the only issue with the case is going to be cable management if the PSU is not modular. You have no easy way of routing your extra unused cables out of the way to the rear of the case due to design. So you may need get creative and zip tie your extra cables and tape them to the top of the case or stick them in your optical drive bay area.

As for the 8 pin thing,

Pretty much what he said.
8pin power not really needed unless you're going to be doing extreme sub zero temp overclocking with dry ice, liquid nitrogen, liquid helium..

It does provide more power but it depends on the PSU. PSUs will real certified 8 pin cpu power, will have 2 ground and 2 power cables to each 4 pin connectors.
The adapter is simply a placebo.

Yeah that's the case and yes cable management sucks some XD is my first time doing this but i did learn my lesson and what do you think about the fan?
edit: unless by "yes it should fit" you meant the fan

the fan should fit, my old cooler master storm sniper used those fans.

if it doesn't you can just make your own. should be easy due to the mesh side panel. could just also use some black zip ties to attach it
