Returning To FF14, Have A Question.

As the title says I'm returning to 14. I have 2 characters that I've leveled during the more beta'ish phase of the game. I want to start over but I don't want to lose my gear and money on them. So was wondering what was the "now" quickest way to transfer stuff between characters?

There is no optimal way seeing as there is no mail system yet. I believe it would cost you to activate multiple characters atm as well. All of that aside, I am finding FFXIV to be a blast lately. I resubscribed to get legacy status in case I decided to come back and I've been logging on everyday since.

Damn trolls. No help. I didn't ask for an easy way. I asked for the way. Instead of just saying "FFXI" why not be useful and stop wasting your own time.

The only way to transfer stuff would be to find someone to hold all the stuff for you and give it to your other character.

Do you have any RL / Trustworthy friends?

How much gil do you have? Making gil really isnt that hard to do, starting over fresh doesnt hurt you that much at all unless your rocking double/triple melded gear on your character along with primal weapons.

180k on my chara i wanna delete and buncha gear worth a decent amount. get me some starter gear. not a HUGE deal but was just curious about the way. and yea i have my brother. he can help me trade stuff. and i thought i was posting on the right forum lol FFXIV. oops if i havent, sorry :3

Was moved after my initial post. Wasn't a troll or trying to compare the games. Only posted cause it was in FFXI forums, lol.

As everyone has said, pretty much have to trade items to someone you trust not to steal them. I suppose it can depend a bit on what gear specifically, but assuming mostly low level 'dated' gear losing the 180k might be a much bigger deal and even that's not so bad. Granted leves don't spew such ridiculous amounts of gil at you anymore (at least not low level ones), but nothing at the lower levels costs much or is worth much.

If I were you I wouldn't start over at all when 2.o comes out there will be a mailing system and that gear is prob dated so you may as well turn it into materia....and if your worried about the story it's full of plot holes anyway, but that's just me it's up to you to make a choice.
