So my ls just started doing Legion and I was wondering if anyone has any experience on DRK with it.

Some questions:
1) Ragnarok or Apoc?
2) PDT full time or switch between TP/WS sets?
3) Perfect Defense and/or Embrava situations.
4) Meds? Reraise? Twilight gear?

Kinda liking the PDT set since the damage intake is around 100 with Catastrophe getting some of the HP back.

1)Our drks use ragnarok.
2)They use tp sets and WS sets normally, although occassionally equip PDT if they feel their life is in mortal danger. We use 3 sch stunners+some smns to completely lock down TP moves and spells.
3) In legion currently every situation should be an embrava situation. Perfect Defense should just make it so you don't even need to worry about PDT.
4) Meds help. personally I'd bring panceas/remedies, and a RR item. If you have tabs you can get at least 1 RR from the groudns of valor book in rolanberry.

This.
Especially for Mul when your stunners miss an all stat down/atk down move on the mantis and naraka.

Is Apoc DRK even worth the DD spot in Legion? (If you wanna beat Mul)

if you are not using pd, apoc can be utilized, and has actually saved us a run when wave2 mantis opened w/ dp. other than that it no, it shouldnt be used.

I think Apoc would work, but I think it depends on what you mean by "beat Mul". Using like Ukon99/Ukon99/Ukon90/masamune99/vere90 we were able to beat gallu and then time out, but since upgrading to ukon99/ukon99+ragna99/ukon90/ragnarok99Drk/ragnarokDrk we have come close to clearing 4th wave before in mul.

rag is much better than apoc. Our DD are 2 ryu drg, 1 99 brav war, 1 99 ukon war, 1 rag drk. generally either the drk** or one of the drgs will win the parses, though we're all very close, the spread is generally between 18-20%.

You'll need more acc on mul wave 2/3 unless your bard is giving you a madrigal (with all dd using RCB we do minx3 for wave 1, minx2 madrigal for wave 2/3, with chaos/fighters)

PDT is a good idea if you aren't PDing, though it depends on how much damage you are taking (if you have good stuns, etc).

We also make sure our melee bring panceas.

Your Ragna DRK must be pretty bad if they're losing to Ryunohige in Mul, just sayin'.

On topic: 99Ukon/99 Ragna WAR ftw.

Ragna DRK is a close second

Thanks guys. Sounds like the situations are more dependent on other jobs casting spells and PD rather than a DRK trying to survive on his/her own.

DRG/SAM can cap cRatio with full buffs. Not sure about Drakes given the attack penalty, but certainly enough that they're going to keep up with other DDs.

that may be true for wave one, but when you get to wave 2 and you have 5% crit rate it doesnt really keep up.

Yeah, it's pretty neat. Not very far behind Resolution and happens to be attached to a strong mythic option due to its job being capable of maintaining that mythic's strongest trait efficiently.

Whoda thought there were DDs other than WAR?

You're more than welcome to argue with Ejin and Martel if you're so inclined.

Could "win" Mul with 5 SAMs, what's your point? Is that like, the new relic syndrome or something?

Ignorance born of refusing to acknowledge the facts is sad.

to hear what? that what I've been doing is wrong? we've tried all different combinations of jobs, doesn't take too many runs to realize what works better than others. all im saying is have fun spamming a weaker ws, while trying to maintain AM3.

The 1.04375 fTP @ 100TP disparity is more than made up for by DRG's OA2-3 on weaponskill and enhanced TP gain. They're as competitive as anything else, though it's sad that they need a mythic to be relevant.

People are still living in the "Its my way or the highway" age where other jobs were disregarded for no reason? Hmm.

Let's just ignore the successful groups that use Ryunohige DRGs because they're not inside of your sphere then

That might be because not every person is perfect.
Maybe what works best for you is because that's what people do best.
That does'nt mean something else can't have a greater potential, if played correctly.
