Couldn't get a straight answer and BG's page on it is incorrect(says 20% but it's actually 30% per Bayohne's post on official forums. My question is does the bonus HP to the stoneskin effect granted by Steady Wing become more potent as the Wyvern's current HP decreases? BGwiki says

but it also erroneously says 20% instead of 30%. Wondering if besides the 30% stoneskin effect, if Steady Wing grows more potent the less HP the wyvern has at activation of the ability or weaker at the activation of the ability.

If it grows stronger at lower HP's then then with maxed wyvern parameter boost and gear, it would be possible to get close to a 3kish stoneskin(Wyvern has like 1916 HP at 99 with max parameter boost before HP gear so with the 30% of that plus the difference between max and current, assuming the wyvern had 1HP, would give an insane stoneskin I'd wager. So if Steady Wing grows stronger with a lower current HP, assuming the wyvern has 1/2,500 current HP at activation of Steady Wing, would that give:

2500*0.30= 750
2500-1= 2499
750+2499= 3249

3,249 stoneskin effect?

(Would actually be slightly more if you consider wyvern HP gear more which adds 25% to max from AF1+1 legs with AF2+2 feet and then an additional +160 on top of that from ostregers/lancer cape/lancer ear/chanoix/wyvern mail
(1916*0.25)+160= 2555
which would make the max stoneskin effect from steady wing if all the above is true somewhere around 3320ish.

A link to that post would have been useful. I either never saw it, or just didn't think much of it when I did. But it took a bit to find. But in anycase, yes. It does say 30% of WHP(Link to Dev post). BG wiki needs to be updated.

I'd like to note that wyvern hp%+ gear doesn't apply to the HP boost from exp bonus. Seems like the HP bonus is applied additively and the end of the WHP formula. Since wyvern HP+ gear does yield increased values from %+ gear, but the EXP bonus doesn't. Also, ostregers/lancer cape/lancer ear/chanoix/wyvern mail, is 10+30+20+50+65=175

So, our actual max wyvern hp would go like:

(1474+175)*1.25+(1916-1474) = 2503

Then max steady wing DMG absorption would be:

(2503*0.3)+(2503-1)=3252

Now, there are practical issues with actually getting that high a steady wing.One, getting a wyvern to 1 HP without it dying. And two, waiting for wyvern hp gear to kick in while a wyvern is that low will tend to get it killed as well.

Still, a Steady wing in the ~2k range should be fairly common even without Wgear, as long as SW is used when the wyvern is low.

Forgot the body gave 65 and not 50. Anyway thanks for answering my question. Wasn't sure if Steady Wing became stronger as the Wyvern's HP was lower or if it was the opposite and the JA should be used when the wyvern is at fuller HP.
