Sarutobi Kyahan NM is no longer camped much anymore. I know this because since February, when my SAM was around level 50, I've been camping Mee Deggi and Quu Domi.
Yes. All of that time. Three months of total inactivity EXCEPT for camping.
With the ***I got from them, Mee Deggi drops 3k in stuff and Quu Domi drops ~4k with the strider sword, my camping, which has gotten to 0/193(okote) and 0/82(sarutobi) amassed about enough gil for me to buy my Onimaru, Haubergeon, and a normal okote.
Imagine that.
My time and sanity sure were free. I'm set now, if only I could get the voices to stop partying in my head.

most of sam's best gear are rare/ex just save up some gil and try to upgrade the rest of your slots you can check my Item set
