Okay, after the Ring testing today I have updated RollTracker to include the bonuses for Barataria Ring, Merirosvo Ring, and included support for equipment that previously wasn't accounted for.

Below is an image demonstrating this going from Naked -> Navarch Frac +2 -> Nvrch + Merirosvo Ring -> Nvrch + Barataria Ring.

Some roll values have been changed, including Bolters and Puppets roll.

This should hopefully be pulled by tomorrow, submitting the request now, as always let me know if you have any issues.

So rolltracker has been out of date for a while, since the update to some of the MACC/MAB rolls.

I was wondering if anyone had some concrete understanding of how each roll is effected by the new Rings, so that I can look into adding those bonuses

Cheers!

Yeah, I saw that, I was just wondering if there was more concrete findings and for more rolls.

Like the Mahayaya post but with more information about more rolls.

I believe that's the extent of the testing so far honestly.

I figured that'd be the case, just wanted to double check - will get to work on figuring some of the rest out. If anyone has information about the others shoot them over to me :)

There are also some bugs related to the new rings apparently so might wanna wait after the update to recheck them all.

Does rolltracker tell you when the rolls are going to wear?

I miss yarnball so much

It doesn't, currently - Timer's technically does, but there's a lot of problems with Timers and Rolls.

I'll think about adding custom timers, might be a bit of work, and I don't think there's a way to remove the current timers. Could add it as an oldschool Yarnball type timer though.

Bolters roll is pretty fun with the rings, a 1 roll is now 26%, though rolltracker reports the original values wrong, 1 appears to be 6% as does 2, but 2 + Hermes > 1 + Hermes.

Well, yes and no, I mean it does still technically add the same amount as it used to, but now it's doing it from a Movement speed of 5 (125%) rather than 4 (100%)

I see, thanks for the quick response.

What ever happened to yarnball? Creator quit the game or something? or was just too much trouble for ppl to work with?

I don't think it was that, more that Timers was supposed to be a better version of it. The person creating Timers did leave the game for FFXIV though.

Bolters roll is just a straight + 0.2 to our movement speed * + Bonus for Roll.

So for the 5 ring it bumps up your base speed to 6 then gives the roll bonus, which is different now. 1 is about 1.3 or.. about 26%. The values are all off now though, so I'll have to look into them.

You can remove rolls from timers, but you have to do them explicitly and individually in the settings file.

Did you seriously make an account and post 40 posts just to give people ***?

Get lost and let us try and play a game for fun ~ Also I really wouldn't call admins lazy when they're volunteers (unpaid) and do this as a hobby, they have no obligation, no contractual agreement with yourself to do *** all so shut up, get lost and pipe down, the admins do a fine job and this was sufficiently easy to find.

I've just gotten started using my COR and really love Rolltracker so far.

However, the bust likelihood isn't showing up in mine despite having it set to be included. Not that I can't calculate it as I go, but would be nice to not have to think about it.

Also, I was curious if there was a possibility to add lucky/unlucky numbers to the rolls. I'm sure I'll have them memorized at some point, but my /echo text gets lost in the logs pretty fast.

Thanks!

SE should just cut this crap of random stuff off rolls, and give them constant potency. It wasnt that big trouble when there was just brd and cor as buffers, but now with geo, cor need to hit 11 to be comparable to geo magic, that are constant (and high) potency.

Just the ring as enhancement to corsair isnt enough anymore. Rolls still have the problem of stupidly high recast time.

I like cor, but often than not ive been running with half assed buffs, be it because of lack of time or just risk of busting, thus greatly troubling any activity.

Removing the randomness would take away from the characterization. I mean we're using dice after all. It would also render snake eye and fold meaningless abilities.

I think phatom rolls use... Cards, so your argument is invalid.

No, it's dice. You forgot you bought them? And that's why you have numbers and it goes from 1 to 6, those are the faces of the die you see rolling around you.

Good try but the face is a rectangle, not a square.

Corsair 1h ability has the same aspect and is called... Wildcard.

Goblins use dice. Corsair trick players using rolls to play blackjack.

The shape doesn't matter. Go back to Nashmau and look what the rolls are.

Rolls are categorized as "scrolls". You can learn phantom roll with a dice, that dont mean you will use the dice in phantom roll.
