SE can detect speed hacking and it puts your account at risk. Anyone who claims otherwise at this point doesn't get it.
I -COULD- have misunderstood my SGM friend, but from what I understand, speed hacking (Unless you're HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE and going 800% or some ***)/clipping characters can only be banned if the character doing so is reported. I can confirm he is a SGM due to photos he's taken, including ones he's taken logging into his GM account, photos in the SE offices, as well as his name being credited in RoV credits.
Personally, I still wouldnt attempt it, but I kinda wanted to toss that info out there IF that info was understood correctly.
*Disclaimer: I do not support the above hacks, and would recommend against it.*
I see what his name is, then.
There will always be a risk but it's clearly less and less easy to be banned for cheating.
While I would advise to keep crutches and cheating to the minimum, obviously, even despite what I know (
that is now mostly obsolete due to new policiesgod bless policies actually haven't changed since 2014 haha), I have to admit that unless you are really dumb, it's very difficult to be banned for using said crutches/cheats.
5 years ago I'd have been able to hand out 24/72h suspensions for stuff like React, now I honestly don't see it happening, at all. They didn't even make a special policy to do so (which would have been the case up to the beginning of 2014, before I left).
I personnaly wouldn't use it because I'd rather *** up and git gud than rest easy knowing an addon will do it for me, but I can't blame the people who can't press keys on a keyboard or find other strategies from doing so, they are allowed to.
But anyway, I hope for him X is here to cover his ***, there is a reason why GM players don't share too much info.
(Or you are talking about that dude in England, then I must have met him last year when I visited and in this case I hope for him X and Y are aware of his doings, or we can talk about it the next time I visit!).
