I had no idea you could send augmented gear to alts, was this an announced change in patch notes or something? It's a big deal, although getting reisenjima access is a pita.

I did it for the third time already (planning more two trips in the future).
One week of work casually. RoV itself is quite short, the other missions requirements are more painfully at first.
Though, if youre just aiming the DM, then i believe you dont need SoA missions, what are the more time consuming.
Helps a lot using THF/WHM imo, THF for random quested items and ability to equip Jute Boots+1, /WHM for sneak, inv and teleport spells.
Also, chocobo is the most mandatory of the non-mandatory requirements.

Using a second character and utilizing the Nexus cape is a godsend too. Porting to a shitty locations’s survival guide and using your cape shaves off a stupid amount of time. Jugner [s], staging points, and grabbing a Shadow Lord shirt, etc.

Problem with Nexus Cape is, you have to have been in the zone first in order to port anywhere in that zone.
You can't have a fresh character who has never been or unlocked any areas in WotG port straight to Jugner Forest (S) the first time.
With mounts, it's really not hard at all to go through any of the past areas anymore.

In the past, i normallt do bastok line.
Just grab a chocobo and go down flagging all survival guides, and all quests are basically done

You're right, but you can zone into Jugner [S] from an easy entrance and Nexus to the guide. You can bypass taking the long-*** way around, which is especially useful when you need to do the CS in La Vaule.
If you plan on unlocking Reisen 3-1 over the course of a week or whatever, you can plan to grab a guide or HP every day and breeze through it.
I'm not denying any of that. I'm just pointing out that you still need to get that character to the zone first before you can warp them to the other side without passing through Vunkerl.
You can also do that in Yorcia Weald to get from the start of the zone to the HP if you ever need it.
of course they're random, so of course that means its technically possible to get the exact same augment back-to-back...but dang getting "acc/atk+7, wsacc+2, Pet: DEX+2" back-to-back???
That's kinda summed up this campaign so far for me....a bunch of stats all thrown on a piece, none in high enough amounts to warrant the term Dark Matter outside of getting like a "STR+2" with 5macc.
Use trust tanks to hold the mimic while you die to mobs in a safe area
|Well yeah, but you have to either avoid the stun or have enough DT gear to survive the stun. Minimal gear is kinda an exaggeration in my opinion. On my new character, that can only do Sheol A, I have a really good standard DD set for my thief, but no DT set. She can't even survive the stun of Sheol A mimics.
