Rangers or SMN make this quite easy, but it's very doable (if annoying) with melee setups too, it's extremely easy to tank with a Run or Pld, avoid the super moves (check bgwiki) until about 10% and save all your cooldowns and zerg it hard at 10%.

Nothing super unique required for this fight, just be aware of at what % he does the unique omen boss moves and avoid them.

Oh and avoid fighting him on Darksday, because Meteor is annoying.

It's extremely easy DD melee,
If you have a capable group this fight is kind of easier than the other besides gin and kyou with a large group

just make sure only tank is in close at 95%, and everyone runs out at 60%

at the final zerg he's extremely vulnerable to light SC

Ou is by far one of the easier bosses to beat. Just have to plan ahead.

Recommended setup;
Tank and "guardian en litem" (sub tank for bravado)
Healer
Buffs, brd geo works, can add a pocket Corsair for Overkill buffs
2 competent DD, specifically that can deal fast high dps + SC
Summoner in off party to induce ebullient
Corsair can double as a shooter to force ebullient

Fight goes basically like the wiki page shows, he's a combination of all bosses in one. Shoot or blood pact until 95, ebullient goes off. Dps destroy it after he absorbs 5 or so from tank. 75 is fullers so be prepared to deal with that whether it's your tank or the whole group eats it. Fight some more. Everyone off at around 65. Repeat shoot or blood pact to force Fuller's (kite). Then back to dps until around 15. By this point prepare to rebuff and go for the final push. At 10% he'll heal himself to 20% and you have 30 seconds to kill him or he resets the entire fight. Not hard at all if you plan for it but it can go badly if you rush it or people don't listen.

Ou basically does all of the boss-specific percentage based mechanics from the base 5 Omen bosses, 1 time each, specific moves used at set percentages of Ou's HP between 95% and 30%. See list on the BG page for Ou.

Ou gets unique moves at 15% and 10%. 15% is Gardez, an AoE terror move. You want to trigger that, make sure everyone gets un-terrored and ready for a last zerg, then CAREFULLY bring HP down and prepare for a mad rush to take Ou from 10% to Ou death. At 10%, it will use Prophylaxis - this recovers 10% of Ou's HP (so, up to ~20% total) and sets a 30 second timer in which you must kill Ou... or else it recovers to 100% and will reuse all %age based abilities again.

Keys are:
- Ou takes extra SC damage when Prophylaxis is active, so using a strong multi-step SC is very effective.
- BEFORE you get to 10%/Prophylaxis, have 3000tp on any DDs and be sure they pop any JAs before 10% so you don't lose any time with JA delay during the crucial 30 second rush.

As for setup, it's pretty similar to the other Omen caturae. If you can do all of them, you can do Ou. There's also no need to deal with some of the more limiting caturae gimmicks like Kei's magic stuff or Kin's recovery if hit during JA though. For the most safety on Ou, bringing two tanks can be helpful for hate reset moves and dealing with possible death from Dancing Fullers/Unfaltering Bravado (we tend to bring a PLD and a PUP, and just let automaton eat the nasty one-shot kill moves). My group that typically does Omen with 6-12 players generally does Ou with a pretty standard ranged setup: tank(s)+WHM, then something like RNG RNG COR GEO and add additional ranged or support jobs as available (additional GEO/BRD/COR/RDM/etc.). No reason you can't do it with SMNs or melee, and while melee style is not impossible there's more margin for error than ranged due to higher DD gear requirements and more need for healing.

We usually do it with 2 wars and 1-2 ranged jobs (cor, smn, rng) to bring it down to crucial points where people don't wanna be near it (the 1st 5% before it eats buffs, the last 5% between prophylaxis etc.).

For the last 10% we usually have 2 wars do a 4-5 step (it usually dies on the 4th ws) although we've done it with smn or even had a SAM solo the last part on occasion.

We did it PLD/WHM/BRD/GEOx2
THF (to steal enmity on tank )
and 5 SMN

Key points : perfect defense on tank at 75%, THF steals enmity from tank at 30%, boster and AC at 11%.

The setup is overkill, 2 SMN is enough I tkink, and 1 geo too. More SMN help speed the previous floors thanks to thundrespark. Also it would go down faster for the first 90% by replacing a SMN by a RNG.
