If it makes you feel any better, I've always been an insomniac to various degrees, and I can clearly remember the monkees making me smile / jam out hiding under the blankets late at night during "Nick-at-night" reruns, at 7-8 years old.

I could sing you the chorus to the TV show to this day.

Sad day. My dad was the drum tech for the Monkees in the 90s. I got to meet him a few times. He was always super nice to me.
