Wyrm Ash Trade

I'm not saying it's impossible to get 90m or that no one got that much yesterday, but I doubt that'll be a normal thing with a full AH history going 45 to 50mil on Asura right now.

Thing is, it's a patience game like most of ffxi. Smart players can monitor the market and sit on their Ash and sell when the supply is low. Can get the price you want if you sell at the right time. You have to assume everyone is going to rush out to get their cash quickly so they'll stick AH immediately and then run out of points. Though there will be some Ash here and there around the server from people not doing it consistently every day, there won't be a large enough supply at all times to maintain a steady price. I'm expecting this to go up and down as time goes on.

I don't think anyone was foolish enough to think the price would stay high. That's not how it works. Too easy to get.

The people who buy things at any cost is just a few. Those dont care about money so they can pay anything asked.

After those guys are satisfied with whatever sense of self accomplishment, there is a cap on gil you can sell something, and for that cap, there is a limit on gil you can buy wyrm ash and maintaining any sort of profit on HQ.

Even 20m per ash is pushing a bit (at T0 you would need ~60 ashes, and those 60 would be over 1b, so you would never have profit with the hq)

That seems like a real pain. Even with 16 characters, they have to be pretty far along to get Reisinjima access so that's only maybe 2 wyrms per rl hour so 2 hours to get 80 points and 16 characters = not enough hours in the day.

However, I do understand that several people have been working on Reisin access on their mules to abuse (not really abuse, but just get more chances with) the dark matter campaign since the gear that augments can now be sent via same POL account.

HQ rate is a lot higher than 1/60 with the shield and the other HQ rate up items/buffs, and I'm guessing that only people with a shield are buying up Wyrm Ash in large quantities to shoot for HQ.

IIRC, testing on HQ+ gear indicated that +10 to HQ rate gives you somewhere around 1/25 for a T0.

Seems like a lot of gil for Ginsen +1.

Some things will never change. Those white borders are things that people go crazy for.

The players that things like Aurgelmir +1 are targeted to are the ones that don't have anything else left to buy for that job (other than maybe endless Dark Matter augments, which even more expensive). For people determined to get as much out of a single job as possible, if you have nothing else to spend it on, even overpriced tiny upgrades are the best use of gil.

The BEST use of gil is exchanging it.

Far behind that in a distant second is epeen.

Depend how much you actually need that extra money though.

I really am not sure how you guys can make a living out of ffxi. I really hope you also work with other games
