FFXIAH And The Merge

Data collection is up to speed. You may have noticed delays for transactions to show up and consequently delayed the character verification process. I will address some more questions I have seen below.

Our data collection remains down. Since some of the servers are currently under maintenance, I have to wait for them to get back up before I can flip the switch. Stock listing should be active for the servers that are up. Even after everything is running, it will take hours for data collection to get to optimal speed.

I am going to address some questions about the server merge and how it will affect FFXIAH.com.

Data Collection
When the servers go down for maintenance, I will halt all AH data collection. They will remain down until I verify everything is in working order.

Transferred character
After you transfer, you will have to go through our verification process. We don't have a verifiable method to track a character transfer, therefore this is how it's going to be done. You will have to make at least one transaction at the Jeuno linked AH to be added to our database. Once you are in the database, you can proceed on to the verification process.

Should I unlink my old characters?
No! I strongly suggest you do NOT unlink your 'old' characters. Actually I may just disable the unlink feature altogether. I believe there are misconceptions about what our unlink feature actually does. If you were to unlink, you will lose access to that char's mbox, profile, everything -- forever (because it's impossible to reverify on a server that doesn't exist).

Can I still use my old characters on FFXIAH?
Yes. FFXIAH will not purge character data from discontinued servers. You will still be able to use them normally. For example, "Scragg" hasn't been on Fenrir for a long time, and I still use it. Although you might want to just use your active char as your primary identity. It's up to you.

What about the Linkshell Community Site?
No Fuckin Clue. It appears to be working as expected.

Can I transfer all my gear/levels/missions etc.
No, please add your new LSC url on the Edit Chars page

Can I transfer my friend list?
Yeah, you can associate your friend list with your new character easily here http://www.ffxiah.com/members/?q=friendlist

What about people who are linking to my old character as a friend?
They will have to remove it themselves and re-add your new character.

Can I transfer screenshots?
Not right now. Although I think this is a reasonable request since I would rather you not start duplicating screenshots. So just give me some time with that.

Can I transfer itemsets?
There isn't a way to transfer all item sets, you can do it one-by-one here: http://www.ffxiah.com/members/?q=item_sets. Just click edit for each one and a character selection should be available.

When I click on my avatar on the top right, it goes to my old page, wtf?
Make sure you uncheck "Main" in the Edit Chars page and check "Main" for your new character. You might have to relogin after that.


I verified my character but I don't see it in these places.
Try to logout/login.
