insurance companies tend to do mass recruiting. it's a career that you don't just get a salary, YOU have to self-motivate and sell. plus you don't tend to make a lot of money for the first year. i enjoyed doing it for years, but got burnt out. that's when i transitioned to a desk job.
tldr
if you can self-motivate and want to do sales it's good and aflac is a good company. if you want a job where you just go to a place, do a thing, and get paid, don't be an insurance agent.
