The enmity aspects of the weapons, yes, but not the damage procs.

Idk how regular attack dmg proc's on relic bow for example is going to out weigh the benefits between yoichi119 dmg 223 and phaos dmg 279, never mind augs.

Hate issue is not a problem, reason why annihilator gun was made because of hate issue there's nothing more too it but I was hoping for a screenshot from Yoichinoyumi bow side.

mostly a pointless thread about comparing. speaking as someone who has all 3 weapons the damage is very even. Bow pulls ahead when you can hit the sweet spot for crit rate with jishnu's but I've never been "annihilated" by a bow rng when i'm using gun. I play with some good players so I know everyone is pushing it.

Pick the one that you enjoy and go with it. The differences are too small to worry about it.

Yes, yoichi should be the most reasonable option between anni and yoichi, just because you can use it as sam.

If not for that, there is no much reason to do relic.

Also, you dont need screenshots to see if a weapon is stronger. You can just use the equations or better yet, a spreadsheet. Spreadsheet is the most reliable tool to compare diferent weapons in same conditions, and normalizing random components like crits, occasionally double dmg, etc. Screenshots (or testings) on the other side, are subject to random components, requiring you to filter data not relevant to testing, adjust condition, having adequated sample, etc.

Anni > Yoichi FACT

You don't even need to do numbers on it, if you play in enough RNG/PLD parties you will see that in general Anni RNG beat Yoichi RNG. Generally only bad Anni RNG get beat by good Yoichi RNG.

If you are a serious SAM and don't want to pony out the coin for gun and bow then you go for bow.

I'm pretty sure a yoi rng is going to win the parse if they do nothing but jishnu's radiance and never take hate. If the yoi and the anni are forced to use their relic weaponskills the anni will win. There are definitely other bows that will keep up with the yoi for JR spam so I think it makes more sense to make anni if you don't love sam for situations where you need that hateless ws.

Yeah well I am not certain since I don't play RNG but from what I heard with these new enmity adjustments you can pretty much spam JR now(I've alrdy covered this.)

In that case I wouldn't bother with either, I would augment a Phaos.

Err you are wrong. It was never this simple (once Empy WS became questable). Yoichi has always had a higher damage ceiling than Annihilator. Both rangers going all-out, Yoichi would win. Anni is a utility weapon with good damage, not the best pure damage option. Skirmish Bow, Tenzen bow, and Yoichi will all beat Annihilator for damage.

Also, I've beaten good Annihilator rangers with relic bow. A few times, I pulled hate and wiped the alliance doing it, and I would never go that hard outside of ls events. But with the enmity update, the tables have turned, and JR spam is no longer a death sentence. Anni is a bit devalued- no longer need to ride Coronach as much, and -enm aftermath isn't as valuable as racc aftermath. Still, both are awesome weapons, Annihilator has more favorable delay, and both relics have that extra racc, which is handy for last two bosses in Vagary. Using sushi, they still seemed pretty evasive.

As far as skirmish bow, you will need near-perfect augments for that to be king of the hill. If you are lucky, it's an awesome option. If you are not, you would be better off doing one of the relic weapons. For casual rangers, Hangaku-no-Yumi is possibly the nicest option? It's easy to get and powerful.

Anni only wins if Emnity/Threat is an issue, since the Emnity updates, it's not remotely an issue with a competent PLD and Anni is no longer the Best in slot weapon to use as a result.

Anyone who think otherwise A: hasn't played with a good PLD, or B: has yet to play since the emnity adjusments.

Unfortunately the minute you mention vagary as an event I'm outparsing the lot of you on a nuking job. The only place where RNG is relevant right now is fights that have high aoe damage and are strongly resistant to magic damage (AA fights). I love ranger but there are far too few places where it's a good use of an alliance spot right now.

I spoken about this but I'll say it again here as of now there's no UK base linkshell and the events that are taking place are midnight around 1.00am 3.00am for me which I can't do, SO the only option I have is to buy events and enjoy the content that way.

I prefer to talking on skype because my typing sucks english is not main language. And when I said I have the gear for it I meant it as in end game content because no one will take a gimped player class lol
