Not seeing how it's the wrong word, but it doesn't really matter in the end.
Yes, there are people in the U.S. who express their anti-LGBT views violently, which is part of the entire point of transfolk being allowed to use the bathroom with which they identify.
There is documented history of violence toward trans people just for being trans and using their "birth gender" bathroom.
