I just want to cut in and say I think Kaustra is calculated like other nukes, even though it's Dark Magic, so I just use my nuking set.
Although I know personally that it's affected by weather, but you need an Obi unlike helices. (Screenshots)
It's also reckoned the DoT is something like 1/4 or 1/5 of the initial damage but it's just speculation. And from personal experience again with; Kaustra manifested onto 2 mobs, a 50% resist on a mob means it lives about twice as long. By that standard your Kaustra was doing what that Aero V did to AV every tick.

not other magic dmg was being dealt, and there was no one with a range attack weapon

which leads me to wonder what the actual V value is for kaustra, being that helix have a V value of 25 and blizzard 5 has a V value of 828. Where Int is in favor for all helix, and as the value increases, in this case blizzard 5 having 828 where mab does wonders for it.
all speculation of course, but i expect kaustra's V value being less than 100.

also regarding your enhancing set, dominion feet give atleast 4 enhancing magic (mine has 4 atleast)

I'm a bit disappointing they haven't made a ring with Enh. Magic+ on it. I see so many other rings with Ele/Enfeeb/Healing/etc., but no Enhancing yet;; ...but patience is a virtue!

Speaking of Kaustra. Anyone had any schs have any experience using Kaustra against Roly-Poly Voidwatch. he has high regen so was thinking if gone non-resisted kaustra might take a good chunk

I havn't seen an equation for Embrava yet, but:
Enhancing Magic Skill 396: 54/tic Regen, 4/tic Regain
Enhancing Magic Skill 402: 58/tic Regen, 5/tic Regain
so then... Enhancing magic 448: X/tick Regen and 6/trick regain???
has anyone come up with a general forumula or tiers for this. Im bad with numbers/math (failed calculus 3x b4 passing lolz)

There's some stuff on the wiki. The equation for regen fits most of the results posted here:
Regen = (Enhancing Skill/7) + 1
Also, according to the wiki, a Kirin's Pole can give more Enhancing skill than a Fey Staff.

Did some testing in Ballista.
Kaustra did 911 damage, did 227HP/tick.
911/227 = 4.37
So about a a little more than a quarter of the initial damage.
Embrava with 453 Enhancing gives 5 TP/tick still and 65HP/tick.

It shouldn't if it acts anything like a Helix does. When you cast a helix on a mob and said mob is healed by it (IE. Amphitrite when it's in phys mode) It will heal for the base amount of dmg but the "dot" wont occur from it. Try doing it with something susceptible to Modus Veritas and it will tell you that action cannot be made against this mob etc. when you try using Modus Veritas after. It's because the DoT doesn't exist when you heal it with a helix.

Has anyone gotten around to attempting to find the damage formula for Kaustra? I've been attempting to with much help from a LS COR. Unfortunately I don't have access to the test server otherwise I'd test it on there. The tests I've done apparently show that Dark Magic skill doesn't have any affect on damage.

MAB Testing on lvl.0 mobs: Code
Skill: 362 INT: 92 MAB: 7, 625 Damage

I've been trying to figure out the formula, and what I've come up with so far is V: ~202 and M: ~4.5. They come fairly close to my results, all of them under 5 damage difference except for the INT:106 one, that one was off by 64 damage. I'm only managing to get off 5 tests per 2hour so I don't have a very large test sample. Anyone who's good at this stuff let's try to figure out the exact formula!

edit: also, since this was necro'd, yes enhancing +5 do exist on lit sabots, I have +5. Also you can augment a kirin pole, with genbu scrap for atleast 11 enhancing magic skill.

Didn't have any crit gear on :/ naked except for 2 Icesoul Rings. Unless we're getting natural crit rate? Would be awesome but I doubt it :/

Has to be SOME explanation for such a spike, idk... that much int should never increase dmg by that much.
Just tested in PVP.
Kaustra did around 500 with Voidstorm, Anrin Obi, Twilight and a decent nuke set. DOT is about 100HP/tick.
Embrava's regen is 41HP/tick and 5TP/tick.
