I havent seen much on current TP sets for pup, and since I see extensive threads for other jobs I thought it would be cool for pup to build its own thread for up-to-date TP sets. So I thought I'd post mine for any ideas from other pups.

I dont currently have the feet yet, but I do NNI every week, and this will be my next piece to get. I was thinking of getting (or trying) the Usukane feet just to cap haste, but I'm unsure if 3% DA and 14ATK would lose to 1% Haste.

Im sitting at 25% haste with this, and was wondering if -tier of MA was worth adding 1% haste in the leg area with Thaumas to cap haste.

Vere is 90.

Any critisim would be awesome, and posting your sets would be cool to collect ideas for everyone!

That set looks nearly identical to mine, xcept I use Rancorous Mantle since my Automaton is usually in Whm/Rdm and I dont have Veres. But the Pantin Cape is great when you have melee Automaton out.

Yea I didnt think about that lol. Im going to do that from now on. Use Rancorous when I got a mage auto out thats not really DD'ing, or isnt much of a help to DD. Good Idea, cant believe I didnt think of that.

I was looking at this about a month or two ago. Messing around with a spreadsheet and ignoring the augments we've now found on things like Tenryu Tekko +1 as well as Automaton damage, the best TP set I could come up with looked something like this.

Ignore the Moonshade as that's worse than an attack earring and the only reason I have it in there is because I already have Regain on it and am too lazy to switch it to TP bonus.

One thing Im confused about is losing the +2 legs. That is -MA and the neck alone isnt enough for a Tier, so if you take away teh +2 legs, is the neck even worth running anymore?

Whether it's a full tier or not the -Delay from it pushes it above other options. This is even after trying to switch it out for Rancor Collar and trying a different cape. Not to mention other options.

is what I currently use, with 12 dex merits the aurore feet help cap dDex against most dyna DC mobs (as an elvaan), inside abyssea I'd switch to savateur's, unless you have usukane, then use them.
As far as I can tell this is currently the best non NNI gear set, which considering its all abyssea +2 gear is pretty sad

Working on Nyzul/Vere after finishing up my DRK's Apoc build. What's the general opinion on Faith Torque these days? I have Cirque too, but just wondering.

I count 24 haste. Am I missing something? I think Athos given their haste or even Savateur's would be better given the DA is devalued (albeit by not THAT much) but all the other multi hit anyways, no? And Savateur's have kicks :P

If youre using AF3 and newer gear, you only need 25% haste. I was testing the the haste effect on embrava when it was first added, and learned through testing that the old "i need 26% to cap 25% haste" was fixed for all newer gear. I'm sure some of you know how haste is read as a value 5% on byakko's haidate was read as 50/1024, so its actually slightly less than 5%. But with the gear i was testing on drk using dread spikes since its the longest recasted spell) i noticed that the newer gear's values were slightly over what percentage was read (5% now is 5.11111% but haste is always rounded down). Basically. Just aim for 25%. Its all you need.
