I'm running the release candidate of Windows 7 right now. If you download and install it, Microsoft will let you keep using it for free through June 2010.
I have to say, it's remarkable. I have a hard time praising Microsoft products, but this Windows finally delivers. It's light years faster than Vista in every way, provides security on par with Linux/OSX without the hassle, copies all the most useful elements of other operating systems and junks the ones nobody uses, and it's quite pretty to boot. Windows 7 finally delivers in a way that will wash Microsoft of the stain that is Vista.
