What you think about pinning VNMs? Is it a bannable thing or not?

And I was wondering if anyone knows any spot to pin VNMs in Beaucedine Glacier (present)????

I doubt its bannable; You're kiting strategicly around a specific terrain and I don't consider it an exploit of anything.

Technically abusing things like terrian is against the rules. But they haven't done anything about it yet

I've heard ppl say on forums that they have been warned by GM's about it. But have also seen videos of ppl doing it in nearly every zone and they have never got in trouble for it.
Either way im sure you wouldnt get any more than a warning for it

Most they will do is warn you and if they dont want you to do it, will patch them to have draw in.

People have been able to do it forever though. Way before VNMs.

Nothing will happen as long as no one GMs you for being pussy hurt you got to the NM first. Do as many VNMs you can until they patch this ***with draw-in.

It is considered a pathing exploit, but GMs arent actively watching the areas they will only show up if someone GMs you.

GMs barely do anything about botters, I really doubt they're going to do much about take advantage of an in-game flaw..

My shell got GMed for pathing KV while we gathered to zerg.

Just told us we had 30 minutes to kill it before s/he did something about it.

The thing I see about pinning a mob, there really isn't a way around it (from the developers standpoint). Rescripting a mob's pathing to continue around an obstacle would give a greater advantage to the players who have movement speed. Considering the relative ease of acquiring that, SE wouldn't go for it. The only other option from SE's side would be to make mobs ethereal, and much akin to them being able to climb impossible heights to reach players, make them now walk through walls and such.

QFT. The most GMs can do is ask you to kill the NM.
@above poster: most vnms have +25% movement speed (some +50%), so kiting would be impossible unless you're using Clipper or something.
