Believe it or not I've had people argue that if you WS in slow gear, it will slow your next hit due to server ping. Thus WSing in any form of -speed gear = less damage.

And you took everything that he said completly out of context here. He said you should be using Black/Onyx set over hectatomb cause it not only has alot of str like hectatomb but also has attack and no slow so it wont slow dont your next melee attack.

The act of ws'ing and breaking from normal melee swings resets ur delay as if you just hit, but doesn't factor in any slow/haste... at all. The only way hecatomb effects you during a ws to make you slow is if you are a dumbass and leave it on AFTER ws goes off and you melee swing BEFORE you swap back to tp gear.

Haste/Slow is only factored in the second the swing goes off. It sets a delay once it swings based off current buffs and gear. What you have on before and after the swing means ***. What you wear during a ws doesn't effect melee at all.

I don't even know what to say, the lack of understanding of basic game mechanics here is overwhelming. His argument was about how attack is > str of catastrophe. This is false unless you won't be capping Pdif. In most situations you can by brining support. What you can not easily cap is FSTR which why you use an STR build on catastrophe for MOST content.

No ***wsing in slow gear wont slow you down but wsing with haste march x2 aftermath etc you will not all of the time maybe not even most of the time but sometimes even with spellcast with all that haste and proper buffs you will attack before your ws gear swaps out. And yes attack is huge for catastrophy, str isnt even a mod all it does is give you fSTR it does very little thank you troll.

While str isnt a mod it doe help the FSTR part of the equation. Pdif is very reasy to cap using bard songs, I even said that earlier if you actually read what I typed. If Pdif is capped than STR is going to do more than attack. You realize a cap means there is a cap right? So adding more would do nothing? You do realize that right? If i have 25.56% haste on gear and I add anothr 10% does it do anything? No it doesn't. I also said there are situations where you wont reach that cap and you should alter your gear. Have you ever heard the phrase ***is situational? Situational, that means sometimes you would do something differently based on circumstances. You understand? I think its pretty fkin obvious what is being said here.

Paid 4MM for mine 2 yrs ago... but im Glad I got 1.3MM back from selling it on 4th July. At least I kept my full 1.3MM and have already 7pc of the Perle/Teal/and soon Aurore sets for which I have/will pay with Easy Prey Cruor :)

Actually your response to the fact you've never used apoc or have any idea how it works was that you have level 80 drk. Level 80 drk != Apocalypse. Unless you're going to say your mule has apoc you really don't know what you're talking about in terms of actually using it.

I'm sure you're some /anon tard but for your sake I'll address you. The last 5 years of this game has consisted of partys to the effect of DDx3 BRD BRD RDM. That means four songs. You realize you can use more than two songs at once right? Ideally those songs would be Marchx2 Minuetx2. WHat does minuet do? Minuet gives attack. What does attack do? it adds the Pdif portion of the melee equation. What does Pdif have? It has a cap. What does a cap mean? It means you will gain no benefit beyond a certain point. WHat does that mean? It means at this point you have to stack something else. What else would you stack? You would stack STR. What has the most STR on gear? Hecatomb. Jesus people.

I'm not saying to never use onyx gear, just that for most situations you will benefit more from a STR build.

Guess what? I can still get those items. Guess what? Most of the currenty maxed out drk gear is going to be obsolete. Guess what isn't going to ever be obsolete? The relic.
