Okay, rushing a ton of armor aside when you have DBC, you're still very susceptible to AP.
Rushing it when AD don't have much AD won't really hurt them that much.
Thornmail only benefits you. Outside of taunt, no one should really be attacking you unless you get caught out alone.
Frozen heart gives one less armor, gives you 20% CDR, and has an AoE attack speed slow. Also, mana.
Randuins is built from HoG, which will help your gold income earlier on. It has 25 less armor. Gives 5% CDR, chance to slow movement and attack speed on hit, an active that slows movement speed and attack speed by 35% +. Health, and health regen.
They cost more, but are for more beneficial to the entire team.
It's a far inferior item :/ I can't think of any reason to get a thornmail unless the entire enemy team is AD and you've already got Randuin's and Frozen heart.

Well it works enough most of the time for early game
and I only get it on Rammus and maybe Malphite (It's gotten me multiple double kills solo) and on no one else just my personal preference i'd prefer to leave it at that though spence there is one thing you have one thing right for sure >: play carry in ranked and win games <.<

Lots of nerfs in this patch. I'm a little sad they nerfed Graves, but he still had way too much burst :/ New Jax sounds pretty stronk. Maybe I'll try him out. But that is a lot of nerfs x:

However its situational aswell, as Hevans mentioned, Tryn, I almost always rush a thornmail with him present. Mind you I generally already have 2/3 Randuim and glacial shroud for F.H., but it will probably be the first completed armor piece. Reason being is 2/3 Randuim + shield gives you +95 armor/15% CDR/+20H.regen/5gold per 10secs(nice with philo stone)/425mana/250 health. Its a nice core to have for early/mid game. From there I can go FoN or Thorn depending on the ADs or APs. Again situational and as Aaron said, preference. On Rammus I like thornmail, on mumu I like sunfire cape, on Nas I like Frozen heart. Not to say I dont use them in combinations, but theyre -normally- pieces that I tend to use on them as they go so well and then build other pieces for my enemy.  HUE HUE HUE HUE >< was just in a game when they took the servers down wihtout warning. score was US 80 THEM 40 in dominion. we had 3 points capped and just aced their team... /sigh

it didnt display once during the entire game. usually you get the text saying it while in game as well
I've never got text DURING a game about the servers going down. There was a message at the top of the game from at least 11 PM PST onward though. So, two hours of notice at the very least. :3

Level 21 atm, been doing mostly normals, so only encounter half the meta. I've been playing her like I should though, to get prepared. Also, Cottontail Teemo is the best. That is all. |
