Here is what I am using atm, I really dont like drakesbane as a WS at all makes me not even want to play DRG, the numbers are so random it irritates me D;

I need a better polearm obviously... working on ares legs but the 35 seems to drop anytime I skip salvage, and a sea gorget ;/

Just need 25 legs for Ares Flanchard, but Chariot is being an ***.
Aiming for Viking Hat.
Need to upgrade to Flame or Strigoi Ring, but Blitz Ring is a more pressing matter for me.
Galea has STR+4 WSACC+15 ATT+5 ACC+10.
Stingray has DMG+15 STP+8.

Drakes is hard to gear for, do you go for the DEX build and hope for crits or just stack STR and attack/accuracy and let the 50% WS mod do the work?

The answer is more situational than most 'situational' things and the trouble is, you don't know which works best until you try both.

Or figure out the mobs AGI and gear for it. But that's a lot more trouble than it's worth, IMO.

I'd go for general consistency.

On a side note: Looking at your page, I can't help but notice that your TP gear is sitting at 10 Store TP. If you had 1 more, you could reach a true 6 hit build when /SAM. The easiest options would be either Ecphoria Ring or Chivalrous Chain. Personally, I would lean towards Chivalrous Chain since you have a Blitz Ring.
From my other 12 page disaster of a post I was 'told' this was best even without that so that's what I've been using atm.
I'd have happily done the math in detail for you if I thought it would really mean anything, but all I got from that thread was that you wanted a wall of numbers showing a result one way or the other. If that's the case, I could have vomited up a set of random numbers that eventually made it look like Perle was better to a poster unfamiliar with the equations involved and the end result would have been the same. Even if I'd done it properly (which I would have), you'd still have to assume that I (and the other posters in that thread) know what I'm talking about... which is an assumption you can make whether I do the math before your eyes or not. So the extra effort was honestly pointless when I already knew the conclusion with a sufficient degree of accuracy.

As mentioned, Tumbler Trunks. Keep the Heca on, and consider swapping to Perle Salade given that you're probably not pushing high dDEX on anything that matters. You're probably ok to wear a STR ring in your current set and if you really don't care about dDEX then combining sentry belt and varangian helm might be a decent approach.

I always assume you know what you're talking about, since, you're always well spoken, and seem to have walls of information in your head.

So OP, do what he says.

Speaking for a Drg which is better...1 more str and lots more att or -1str with dex?

(if my heca cap is replaced imma /rage!)

ppl keep on forgetting that Att > Str for Ws ... why you think everytime you get a brd in your pt or a cor and they give you Att your Ws goes off the roof

Ares body and Varangian helm is ace you're basically getting +48 attack and you won't even need a brd or cor to do crazy numbers like this

btw brd did double march if he'd gone attack i would of prolly done more.

again to OP happy hunting.

You should never use attack song as a BRD over march x2.

If BRD had used minuets, you would have done less Weaponskills over time.

MarchX2 > Minuets

MarchX2 > Minuets

of course marchx2 > minuetx2 that's common sense

however strong march + AttIV is a better combo if you have really good gear for brd and you aren't a gimp, just sayin'.

if your brd is gimp sure marchx2 all the way.

No.

MarchX2 is still better.

Haste > some extra attack.

The 0.5-1% extra haste from a MAXED OUT bard dont justify missing the other song.

it's situational, if you need ***for recast i'd go marchx2 or if you have mnks only or ppl with dual wield yeah you can get some DoT attack going on

as for jobs that CAN spike damage like dragoon -> AttIV and strong march

Haste gets even better the more you already had of it... because it's a direct decrease to your weapon delay.

You kill faster, do more hits, and increase your WS frequency.

Well, he's half right... it is situational. If you have ***for attack and zero haste elsewhere (gear, spell) Minuet IV could in fact be better than Advancing March!

But those people aren't invited to much and it would benefit the group more with marches.

Assuming you both used the same gear, but you used Minuet/March and he used Marchx2, that parse would be so hilariously one sided I would love to see it.
