I'm just wondering if anyone knows from experience what the bite rate tends to be for catching pterygotus 96-99 with lugworm/lu shangs on worst moon I guess, and/or the rate for armored pisces 96/99-100 using sinking minnow and lu shangs, worst moon I guess as well. (It's always bad moon when I feel like fishing heh)

I don't remember worst bite rate exactly but I remember it was usually 20-40% ish. More or less sameish as either of the 2 fish you skillup in nashmau before that with shrimp lure.

Hmm then it shouldn't be too bad, especially with only 4 levels of skilling. Thanks ^^b

I've done armored pisces for my bonecraft mule... so not alot but I'd say it's about the same maybe a little better. But with that high of a bite rate the time it takes you to run there after dumping the fish after getting full becomes significant. Then again if you have bonecraft lvld a bit or know a bonecraft it is a decent bit more profitable

Hmm well, I think after I clean out junk for jobs I won't play any longer, I'll have like 50 spaces, then I can just stop crafting and get rid of materials when I get to that route and just fish.

hohenheim you need to be fishing in quicksandcaves at the kings pond or w/e I think it's called...with a shangs and meatballs for cave cherax...that's the fastest skillup you'll get from 96-100

yeah but rod breaks and I has no woodworking ; ; doesn't it get expensive fixing breaks, and time consuming running back and forth? I was planning on just fishing pisces to 100, then fishing for gil on squid/SSG and buying fish if I really want the rod(which I do and probably will get)

There is that plus you can save the bait so you can fish for Matsya later (after you get ebisus) for awesome money. Hell if it wasn't for the fact I have to fish for the lame bait I'd do that and make rediculous amounts of money doing that

They do. And turning them into the npc still nets you 800 I think.

Also they can get you +.3 skillups too.

Bite rate is kinda sucky though. Back when I did it for Matsya it would take me about 20 or so hours to get max fatigue with ebisus

Idk I don't do those. I do trumpets. 2 + wind crystal makes trumpet ring which npcs for 3.5k+. So if they sell on ah usually 18-21k

best way to make money fishing I think is selling lik/gugru after you have already gotten the ebisu..you can afk in selbina and bazaar them...and you will always make steady gil

yeah they cap at 91. I sell them on AH or I'll bazaar them if I feel like fishing a bunch of them up. Always depends on market and my interests though. Somedays its squids, somedays SSG on grimms and nebs and breams, and somedays npcing in nashmau/talacca while skilling(though I can skill in all three areas, just faster since I can currently skill on all fish npc-fishing atm using the ring.)

yeah but I don't fish 200 of them up everday. at most, it's like 50-60 in a sitting, then i throw 14 on ah for the night, bazaar the rest, then put more on in the morning. they sell so fast, I remember one time someone was buying them as I put them up, so I sold about 60 or 70 in one sitting.

If they sell Ryuga titans are nice though only sell a few a day at most usually.

Trumpets are nice because I just make rings on a mule and npc them so I can make a good 350-400k a day off of it without caring about ah lameness

Yeah which is never on the ah so if someone wants it alot times they are willing to pay 10k per titan even though it's like a 1% turn in rate
