the OP should really have used the facebook page as even though it still lacks info and is slightly one sided it gives a more delted report of the events. The matter is being investigated by the proper authority's. The man should have been charged with and written a ticket for discharging a firearm within a neighbor hood. He would then have to prove why he did this in court. if the Animal department finds enough evidence to fully lay waist to the mans claim then they can charge him with animal cruelty. The petition is not really needed.

If he goes to trial for the discharge of firearm and he gets said nope you where wrong don't do it again and the animal unit does not follow up with a charge of animal cruelty then a petition would be merited. Unless I'm wrong and this would be considered double jeopardy but first time he is going to court for a ticket for discharge of firearm. Second time he is being charged with a crime so it shouldn't.

Yes, my dog is apart of the family. I fail to see the problem with that.

i have a dog at home, and if it came down to choosing between a family member, or the dog, i would choose the family member.....

Wow, you really are a spastic. Where did we advocate Animal rights > Human Rights? we simply said shooting a dog is wrong, and people have the right to be upset about such an awful event.
