From what I've read it absorbs up to 30 hp...well Cure I restores 30 hp...so what?

Until it wears off.

It also counts enspell dmg seperate from the melee dmg.

So yeah that combine with high def/pdt could allow you to say hold any number of eps at once... like in that one thread I made

for the duration of the spell.
you keep Phalanx up forever, it will absord 30dmg forever.
