I'm not even sure Berserk is the one I wanted to get into, I thought about doing it and then forgot...maybe it was Hellsing. Or maybe something else.

Anyone non biased towards manga/anime can tell me if Berserk is better watched or read?
The anime left out a few details that the manga covered however they're both very good and you could always watch the anime and go back to the manga and read the parts left out.

The series only covers a certain arc of the manga, so if you want more story then read it but it is a very good story from what is covered in the anime and holds up on it's own.
This pretty much... and it doesn't even complete the arc... The anime was great but ended too abruptly and left too many questions unanswered...

Its a bit early but hopefully they will do an anime of Onepunch-Man and if they do I highly recommend it. You can read the manga right now its about one of the funniest and action packed manga I've read in a long time.

Blood+
Deathnote
Bleach
Inuyasha, but if an episode looks like Filler, run away
Samurai Champloo
S-cry-ed
FMA - I actually liked it better than FMA: Brotherhood (Full Metal Alchemist). I thought when the series split from the manga (because the first series caught up to the manga), that they took the rest of the plot in a better direction than what the manga took it.

Yeah, Adult Swim introduced me to most of my favorite anime

My vote is for Magi. It's definitely a breath of fresh air in the fantasy action genre where it revolves around middle eastern lore and the stories of Aladdin, Ali Babba, and Sinbad. Where there's sorcery and djinns abound. Quests for treasure and power. The main theme is the balance of fate and people working to turns the wheels of fate into an apocalypse as others fight for the light.

Currently 17 episodes out so it's a quick catch up.

I also highly recommend Hunter x Hunter the 2011 reboot. It's the same story as the original series just told faster which 70% less fillers.

Berserk movies that have been coming out are pretty kickass if you can deal with some cg. 3rd one is pretty gore hard core. A site I use a lot with good anime recommendations.

This pretty much... and it doesn't even complete the arc... The anime was great but ended too abruptly and left too many questions unanswered...

The anime series only goes up to vol 13, whereas the manga is currently up to vol 37 . The anime only covers the "how it all started" arc and everything after that is completely different from it. It goes from medieval, war, politics to monsters, magic, supernatural, adventure, revenge. I think one of the main reasons why they opted to end it after the "Golden Age" arc is because the series takes a complete turn.

On another note, they are currently making a film series that they plan to cover the whole series. Three of the films has been released as of Feb. 1 and 2 of which has been subbed. A word of forewarning though, since this is a movie series kind of thing the release date is around half a year between each movie. I expect it to take 15+ films to cover the whole manga by the time the manga ends.

@seha The manga is much more explicit with it's content and scenes.

I honestly skipped over magi at first, but after a couple episodes i was hooked :x series is really good overall, and turned out to be one of the best this season.

anime I'm watching this season:

Magi

Kotoura-San - (all my feels; in epi1)

Tamako Market -(MOCHIYUCKI! :3)

Amnesia

Zetsuen no Tempest

Vividred Operation - (episode1 was great, but this is basically power rangers lol)

Ginga e Kickoff!! (le soccer)

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (2012) - Animation took a little bit to get used to, but really solid action anime.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

Senran Kagura(ninja, and glorious boobs, what more can you ask for?)

Uchuu Kyoudai

Shinsekai Yori - (insane crazy mindfuck of a storyline, but good nonetheless)

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - (One of my personal favorites from this season)

I'm sure i missed a couple but yea xD all of those are pretty decent and worth checking out imo.

gosh i watch a lot of anime :<
