Town gear is also used to brag. Which is why you may spot a RDM sporting VBelt. Are you trying to tell me a BLU using Forager's doesn't look better than a BLU using Amemet +1?

I knew a blu back before the lvl cap increases that tpd in lvl 55 swds, full af (some relic when he got it), mp/hmp gear in other slots... and had no sea or past spells. His main dmg spell was mand bite I think

Yeah, the M.Acc swords I see *everywhere* are a little ridiculous. Sure, if you want to make some for "situational ***is situational", go ahead, but please don't come to EXP parties dual wielding them...

(Really, I think it's just 'cause it's the easiest 'worthwhile' path.)

Also, MACC swords are great for landing just about any debuff when you cant macro out swords for staves. An example would be straight tanking something you need to silence with Chaotic Eye.
If the end result is +16 MACC, dual wielding them would actually be better than HQ staves in terms of MACC.

But I honestly have never seen a BLU use an enfeeble since the BRD and RDM are usually doing it, so the choice is yours I guess :P

Right now it's only 14 macc so would be less. And even when it gets up to 16 each it will only match them if you are using elemental grips too. Well depending on the element and the spell since some of the HQ staffs actually have relavent stats.

And if it's a dmg spell yeah small amounts of macc don't even hold a candle to 15% dmg

I used to wear the full relic set as town gear. Heaven forbid you like how the job-specific armor looks on your character.

You're damn straight when I get the Empyrean body and Empyrean hands I'm going to full-time the whole set in towns even though the only HQ piece I have (to date) is the Kavuk.

I'm a Blue Mage, and I'm proud to be one.

I'm a Blue Mage, and I'm proud to not be a *** dumbass gimp one.

Edit: Not actually saying you're gimp Jessie, just that at least 95% of the blu's out there are.
