I was unsure how we were equating controlling a moving vehicle yourself vs sitting in an airplane.. good point, so do we need to start screening people who get in cars, regardless if they are going to drive? what if the car goes on a populated bridge? and blows up? what then? strip searches when you get in a car?

That's a really stupid argument, you can be able to afford a driver liscence but if you are judged too dangerous or not ready they can refuse giving you the liscence. you can't equate being a passenger to being a driver, if you want to equate a pilot to a driver then go ahead.
