I really liked how the TPS version was really fast-paced. I have to give the edge to that one, though this one isn't particularly bad.

I just like both separately because they set two totally different moods with the same thing, things few cover songs do. I should note, though, that Ben Gibbard does need to release another TPS album. Very few artists can get away with making a duality of a song that suits different environments and moods within the same song. I have to admire anyone that can pull that off and not simply go the easy way of making a carbon copy of it. Like a real artist, even when you aren't working with original content, it comes down to individualized interpretation of that work. Whether it's good or bad, I admire and respect those able to pull it off. Example: By no means is this "better" than Eric Burton's version; however, to go on their own whim and take a song and turn it into something totally different and downright psychedelic without completely butchering or altering the song is impressive.
