So, I'm half thinking about switching my moonshade back to refresh. What would you lot use as a 2nd earring. Vulcan's or maybe that new +1 acc/att earring?
What are the top 3-5 legs to use now days?
Had to give my Hachiryu pants back to the owner, and was using Usukane, but just picked up a pair of +3 Denali legs (8 str 12 acc/attack) and want to see how much of a priority it should be for me to get out of them Only things that come to mind are the thaumas themselves or the khepri kecks.

On one hand, I know its more return than refresh (which does almost nothing for like every event). On the other, I play whm45% sch30% blm20% brd 2% alexandercasting 2.5% DD .5% so its hard to justify not having refresh earring for the events it matters. How would thaumas head do vs shura+1(assuming 3%ws dmg augment). Counting you get the +2 str from set bonus from also using legs. Debating if I want to pick up a Thaumas head.
Also, since i'm assuming people that would read this would also read a shijin post, would someone w/ only vere have a reason to get shijin? Thaumas is second best to shura +1 auged. No, wouldn't bother with shijin spiral if you only have vereth.

for Aby mainly: i want to be able to run at 90%+ of mobs and know i'm using a close to perfect setup. This where its at? Light Gorget (can keep Nefarious for NMs)
Wanion Belt Heafoc Mitts Moonshade Earring &To keep things simple for the Thew/Potestas & Kacura +1/Thaumas: They're about the same in your average situation.. Kacura +1 will be about on par with Thaumas even when you need the attack and distinctly (more so than Thew over Potestas) pull ahead when you do not. It's easier to just swap Potestas to Thew when you're capped on attack so you can be sure you're not losing too much (and to be honest I have way too many single piece toggles already). Is there still any situation where anwig salade can be made into a good VS piece? If so, which augments would i lean towards.
or until i get shura +1 head, will anwig beat tantra +2 head for VS.
I might have screwed up somewhere but I don't think it's better than Aias, and Aias is better than Tantra Crown.
EDIT: changed buffs/target and it's slightly ahead of Aias now. You could do that...
..but it's going to be worse (on anything that isn't fodder-level, at which point spikes from the additional hits on WS aren't going to really benefit you anyways). Edit: The post this was responding to was apparently deleted. Shura kabuto +1 ws dmg 3% has been verified to only proc on the 1st hit.

What is the best body for impetus down excluding Toci's? Currently sets are:
Thats low attack set. High attack: beir+1, rancor collar/atheling(I dont think it is quite the ideal switch, but I don't have nefarious or a working gorget yet) tantra +2 would be better than thaumas.
myrmex mitts are sexy too if you can get a pair. Those are sexy mittens, but they are voidwatch, and given in about 900 voidwatch runs using cells everytime i've gotten all of faz radiant mail, strendu ring, and ganesha's mask, i'm going to exclude it from my sets the same reason i'm gearing around not having toci's. :/
uh, I hate when what I think is wrong because it means I have to go more in depth into sets and find out where i'm wrong :/. low attack: I can see how 15 attack would beat to 3qa at low attack values. However, if thats the case, 3qa~.09ftp so 15/9=1.666att>.01ftp, Brutal~.05, 5*1.66=8.33 which means brutal would just get squeezed out by ghille+1 even if acc doesn't come into play? High attack:Thaumas/kakura+1 seems best to me to me for high attack. Ok so after shura +1 being confirmed as only landing first hit, does that pull thaumas ahead for smite?
Also, thaumas > kakura +1 for feet on smite? and if i'm reading correctly, thaumas body > toci's/tantra, regardless of impetus being up or down? Can we get a link for this "confirmed" testing?

Assuming shura is only 1 hit, by above it seems to me thaumas is better unless you have a good attack augment on it also (and then i'm not sure). Toci's is your best impetus down piece. The above is for people without toci's harness (and i'm still waiting on someone to come along and support/refute the above numbers) Feet depend on your attack and how many other thaumas pieces you have. If you're capped and don't have impetus up, sure. But you usually don't cap without berserk, and you should be stacking berserk with impetus anyways, so you'd use tantra +2.
Is that brutal thing right though, feels weird taking it off><.
As a side note, how high is mob defense in for example nyzul. I'm pretty sure ive seen a guestimate of higher teir VW around 600, and greater colibri had about 320. I had assumed nyzul fodder/dyna mobs had around 400-450tops(possibly excluding plds). Brutal should always be used.
And nzyul fodder is probably like DC dynamis mobs tops, who have like 436. I possibly figured it out. I was counting 1da as .01ftp (something I seem to recall hearing) but thinking about it da can proc twice on WSs, so if you had 100da, it would add 2 hits, or .02 ftp per da expected value. That would return brutal to its spot as king which makes sense, but also makes thaumas an aprox ~7% dmg increase(marginally less because you can't have over 8 attacks in a round) but still, even as low as 6%, for tantra to be ahead even situations where you need attack, 2.5 attack would have to be a 1% dmg increase.
Edit: found a post in ninnian's dnc guide by byrth saying epona's is theoretical .18ftp which concurs. so that was the issue. |
