Well, it could be worse, we could be like these sweatshop workers.
I've seen this setup in the US as well. This pic doesn't say anything about wage. If we are talking about wage... then in their country, 2$ there goes further than 8$ here. It's all relative, and all yet volunteer slavery to re-institute land ownership. (which isn't real anyway)

Well I doubt theyve worked the 120 hour work weeks I have... and if they did I bet they got an extra dollar or 2 out of it.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for you or something? Just curious. I mean, 17 hours in a sweatshop isn't excessive at all. Not stupid either. Heck. I'm working 24 hours a day. I'm even working when I'm sleeping. (I think they call that being alive.) What do I get paid? I get this grand opportunity to chase paper, so that I might actually have a life.

Was I supposed to feel sorry for them? Working while sleep... ok sure. I've definitely worked 20 hours a day for 7 days in a row for hardly anything

No. You are supposed to get pissed off. *** this ***up. Not compete in how much more you can sell yourself out. If we all share the same soul (earth?), then we as a race is in competition trying to damn it faster and faster. The only way we create jobs is by finding something more things to blow up it seems.
And just in a physical sense... Work isn't supposed to automatically mean putting yourself in a stress inducing environment, sacrificing your happiness and health for a wage that everyone worships. A plant does work by growing naturally. I just think work should = art... not a competition. Pictures of these sweatshops should make you see how ridiculous it is. Not be inspired to work harder to show them up. At least that's my own opinion.
Edit: I messed up that math with the 391 years to get a million dollars. Lol, by a lot. I'm sorry, but it's about 68 years. Which is totally not as bad. But still... a solid lifetime.

Freedom is freedom. The moment you start "protecting" it is the moment you are putting yourself in control of it. Yeah, but no thanks. Terrorism in modern tense, is an equal reaction to all the terrorism that instigated it in the first place. Karma is a ***. Part of freedom. You wanna end that downwards spiral of a cycle anytime soon? Or do you truly want to die for it?

Quaint and somewhat naive. But no I wasn't reallly putting myself in harms way I just helped run a reactor though there was some small amount of inherent danger in that
