What Grinds Your Gears?

What grinds me is I have to get a more comfortable chair when you PT for 9 hours str8 >.>

Macro spammers. D:.

I haaaaates it. I'm one of these folks who like macros for things the party *needs* to know. Not that your Bosting, Summoning, or going for a poop.

... I'm not bitter, much.

People who dont pay attention during salvage, then wonder why they cant beat the mega boss.

That really gets me.

Those people that feel when something goes wrong, it must be everyone else's fault except their own.

The fact that my phone NEVER rings unless I'm trying to do something serious and talk/listen on vent. And of course, whoever it is must be thinking "Hmm, that's odd, he didn't answer...let me call again, and again, and again..."

I finally answer the phone with a "WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?" after my peeps on ventrilo are sick of hearing it ring through the damn headset, and then I get bitched at for being pissed off by whoever was calling me. Then I get told it's all my fault for playing FFXI too much, and if I wasn't playing my phone ringing wouldn't bother me.

Best part is, my brother and I live together, so when I am proactive and turn my phone off so they can't get a hold of me, they call HIM, and then he comes in here and just hands me his phone saying "So and So wants to talk to you..." and dipsets so then I get to try and play while hearing vent in one ear, friends or family in the other, and all while trying to main heal or some ***. Like seriously how hard is it for people to understand I'M *** BUSY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

THAT particular gear is worn to the nubs at this point. I curse whoever invented the cell phone...

That sounds diffecult. Get a cordless phone or just tell your bro that you are not taking any calls at the moment.

Friends and family are over-rated anyhow.

that's why we call it UFO's :P I don't like em either, especially when they are 2 close together.

Meh, movement speed and shadows makes them fun to play with. They give up easily, so I like to see how many I can agro before I get to wherever I'm going :D

You know what sucks worse than UFO's are the Hippogryphs..... I hate them things, though they are sleepable but still. sometimes you think to yourself (or other shout at the monitor lol) to run faster at your character! and think god damn it I forgot to put reraise on.

When you call a GM because of something happening right now and they take ages to respond. I called a GM whilst farming Sea yesterday. 28 hours later and I still haven't had a reply and no "You were AFK, call GM if you still need help" message in Help Desk ;-;

What grinds my gears is when people call White Mage overrated. Even worse then that is when I see 75 White Mage's around me that half ***, making the stereotype seem valid.

I've found it to be hardest to main heal as Whm than Rdm. (I'd imagine Sch is the same as Whm, just bit easier to manage MP). I say people underrate Whm. They all think main healing is an easy job...especially with a job with no innate way of restoring MP without resting 24/7. I see nub Rdms often D;

Another gear grinder: DDs in full AF after 70. (yes Blus, I'm looking at you too o.o) Even some cheap *** 10k gear is better than most of that shiz. c.c

Getting disconnected from the game for no reason sometimes requiring to restart to log back in

Oh, I tell EVERYONE to text. Problem is, they text, and if I don't text them back in like .002 microseconds then they freaking call...

Example:

Friend or Family Member: "Did you get my text?"
Me: "Uhhh, YEAH, busy!"
FoFM: "Oh, I didn't know if you got it or not..."
Me: "I JUST GOT IT, I'M KINDA BUSY..."
FoFM: "Oh I just have a quick question..."
Me: "..."
FoFM: "(insert drawn out, complicated question, usually concerning a broken computer)"
Me: "I'm gonna have to call you back later, ok"
FoFM: "Oh, C'MON! This will only take a second!"
Me: "No it won't. It'll take all night."
FoFM: "What're you playing FFXI? You're on there way too much!"
Me: "You're dead to me..." *click*

Repeat every 30 minutes...

That is SO annoying >.>

Used to happen to me all the time, then I just started saying "Hmm.. I dunno, I've never seen that before" >.> And if it was one I'd already done, "yeah, but that one was slightly different, it used [insert anything here] and this one uses something totally different".

I'm not all bad though >.> I do generally tell people what's wrong, but if I'm busy at the time and they won't leave me alone, they get a pile of bull until I can be bothered working out what the problem is XD

This happened to me today during Dyna, me and my bro use the same line i get booted off PoL but he don't i had to re-boot PoL ¬_¬

The thing that grinds my gears most is when I help people out by tossing them something simple as a Cure, and get a ((Thank You)) in tell >_<
That why I quickly set myself on /away before, or while, casting a little helpfull spell.

We got /say for a reason.

This is single-handedly, why I do NOT make GM calls. Unless it's to [GM] Dave.

People who expect you to answer texts within 2 minutes, and if you don't, send you like 10 more till you do. Pretty awesome stuff.

My biggest pet peeve is people with 99,999,999,999 Items in their bazaar... especially crap that is signed. No one cares that some person made you a shitty level 1 ring and signed it... Go die in a fire.
Also, people that use the excuse, "So I don't drop it accidentally" leave that crap in your MH, if it's full then you need to make room, if you can't, make some storage, if you can't or it's inconvienant for you, make a mule, if you can't, kill yourself. It wastes my time looking through bazaars to find 99,999,999,999 items. The only reason an item should cost that much is if you don't know a good price for it and want to put a message asking for people to /tell

People that "accidentally" throw their smart grenades, need to shut up. Just make the macro ahead of time with /equip range xxxx and you won't ever have to worry.
