What Grinds Your Gears?

Chigo pts? Where and how does that work? Might it be a good solo idea since I know lvling blu I got great xp on chigs in aht urghan areas

Sheep camp in mire, just south of the hill imp camp. I'd set up just to the side of the tunnel where the leeches are.

x3 Blm, x1 Cor, x1 Brd, x1 Rdm. Is the setup I like the best, but you can mix/match a bit. Blu also works well as main DD and you really only need 2 refresh but 3 doesn't hurt.

You'll need one pt member to dual box either 75 rdm or pld with joyeuse (or find an outside person to do it) and just have them go to town on the sheep there. The sheep will pop a chiego everytime they use a TP move (max of 5 per sheep) and just have the pt kill those.

You'll need to have a lvl 51-52 person in the group to start and sync to and xp will die off after they hit 55. Then just replace them and go on.

Edit: The most xp I got on a single mob was 782 with 11 Cor roll and Anni ring :D

People are always doing chigger pt's on mig, it sucks for skill ups like all lvl sync but seriously its pretty insane xp.

O and btw, make sure no one ever engages the chig, if you one shot them = no xp.

Blm spells, blu don't engage and use spells, Cor can QD though.

Well yeah that sucks. But oh well, what ya gonna do. I'm past it now anyway and need to xp on birds now to get my skill up and ready for slugfest.

At 61, you can manaburn Mamool Ja Wyvern's above bird camp in a similar fashion for around 500/kill w/o ring or COR roll.

at 61 i was soloing over 24k an hour...

I thought those chigoe parties got nerfed somehow?

Never really see them anymore when I'm around the sheep...but from what I'm told they were insanely popular back when Aht Uhrgan first opened up.

I think that was with the exp party fighting the sheep/marid themselves, popping all 5 chigoes and killing them during the fight and then finishing off the sheep/marid for high exp chain 5. I heard they didn't work so well now as well, but not sure why, maybe they changed the level of the chigoes in comparison to the main mob?


Erm, don't mob drg's have 20 minute recast on call wyvern just like players do? That means with 2 drg's there you'll get 4 wyverns pretty quick, and then you're limited to 2 every 20 minutes... that's kinda ghey.

You have an outisde person on a lvl 1 job death pull to dodge that.

To despawn the mob? That's a way around it I guess, but sounds tedious, didn't they fix the HP of ToAU (bst) pets a while back? Surely there's something you can actually solo (needing an alt /= solo).

At 61, you're not gonna solo the wyverns, haha. My ls manaburns them all the time. Usually because somebody's leeching on another job.

Also, I never manaburned on wyverns until after I was 75. It's the lazy man's way to merit.
