Hey so Game of Thrones on this weeks cover of Entertainment Weekly.
States for season 2 they're pushing Jaimes story in another direction (giving him more scenes in the show I assume) since he was hardly in book2 being a captive and all...so I wonder what they're going to do with him?
Also, catching reruns of season 1 it just occurred to me that there was a weird guy-love type scene in there and when I first saw the show I recognized neither characters but now that I've read the books I know who both are supposed to be (Renly and Loras)...but have I missed something? I really don't remember either character being in the same scene as one another >.> I don't remember Renly in book 1 at all...and I just last night read a scene with Tyrion who briefly mentions the two in book 3...Have I not read far enough? was the tv show trying to introduce a story arc early?
I feel like I might have missed something important...I dont particularly like reading Catelyns POV and I tend to zone out when reading her stuff but that seems to be when Renly and Stannis would appear...>.>
The stuff with Renly and Loras was just much more blatant in the series and implied in the books. A few characters regularly allude to the relationship and you can see it evidenced from their actions, but the books didn't contain the scene you're thinking of from teh series.
theyre I guess doing the Brienne\Jaime treck through Westeros bit. I dont know how theyre going to get this to work so early. Jaime doesnt make it back to kings landing til the end of book3 >.> ...so confused.
Speaking of book 3. Ive got only 200 more pages to go! And i left off at Jaimes arrival to kingslanding. I really like the books thus far but theyd be absolutely perfect if GRRM didnt add crap like the cersei/jaime boinking over joffreys dead body and then describe period blood smearing on the altar. Cause it srsly rips me out of my reading zone. Actually that scene was not as disturbing to me as the scene where sansa was preparing for her wedding and the author takes the time to mention sansa had perfume applied to her nipples...GRRM is such a perv and pedo. I hear Sam eventually gets a sex scene too...I cant..wait...sounds like the authors own wishful thinking.
Luckily scenes like Joffs and RW make up for these things. My heart was pounding so hard reading RW. I frantically flipped through the book praying that atleast Arya was still alive lool.

Ahhhh why did I click you're spoiler ><
2 weeks-ish left till season 2 /excite
I'll probably end up reading the books before this season ends
<<< Excited as well, I cracked out on the series over summer when the first season started. Got all my books signed when he went on his tour and everything.
Highly suggest reading the series to anyone who's on the fence, the HBO seasons are amazing at keeping to the script, so you could just wait for those but as someone who doesn't typically read in my free time, I couldn't put the books down.
...and x9000 at the "flipping ahead to see chapter titles when I'm not sure if a particular character makes it out of a dire situation" XD
I have all the audiobooks, and I've just started listening to them during cardio sessions in the gym.Started on the prequel and what used to be "counting the seconds cardio" now flies by without me even noticing it and doing more than I intend because I'm so wrapped up into it. 2/3rds of the way through "the hedge knight" atm

it will be a good year for games and series, walking dead coming on october, now these, then true blood, and others, you seen six feet under or the sopranos? those are the top high quality series from hbo for me :D specially the sopranos, the script and the acting is amazing and the camera angles/filming style
Read an article in Game Informer about the GoT game they're developing, sounds good but I'm skeptical as to how they'll pull it off with all its glory. GRRM is helping in the scripting though so there's always high hopes! Release date is escaping me atm, but if I tried I could probably find the issue laying around here somewhere...
Xenoblade Chronicles
Dragon's Dogma (a big one)
diablo3
guild wars2 (super hyped up)
resident evil6
halo4
the last guardian (another big one)
metal gear solid
silent hill 8

You haven't finished book 3 yet?
Oh god... Finish it asap ;p
End of Book 3 is probably more Epic than book 1 XD But that far in you probably hit most the omgWTF?! parts

Its taking me frikken forever! albeit, I only read it like 1-2 hours before I go to bed. Last night I only made it through 77 pages :(
And Melisandre (the red lady) is a sorceress (kind of?), she has several powers etc and the deity she follows is R'hllor, Lord of Light (just a small fyi). You are gonna see more weird stuff coming from her, literally.

LOL i'm stupid for not realizing this. TY Kind sir, makes sense now. So that last scene where Ayra is on the wagon, I'm going to guess that one guy with her is a *** of Roberts yes?

Is anyone else incredibly psyched for this? The novels are fantastic, and with Martin being one of the writers on this series, I have high hopes. Hopefully "A Dance with Dragons" is published soon, too.
