What's you favorite in-game thing to do?
Mine would have to be mission-like stuff. Whether that is a mission, helping a friend, or end-game events, it doesn't matter to me.

For me it's lesser endgame events, like sky or sea farming. Not Dyna, Gods, Ouryu, Limbus or ZNMs, just farming for LS pops etc.
It's playing your job in an atmosphere similar to XP, but with purpose & with skilled people you get along with \^o^/ ftw! Mine is when a group comes together to form a unit greater than the sum of its parts to take down something big. / People being really happy to get dorps.
My fav thing to do is when I go up to a mob that used to use kill you when you were starting the game with no sub job and BAM! nuke it with a Burst 2 and say "Ha! Who's not so tough now!" Then I get a the serial killer mind going and start ga'ing everything.
Then I come back to reality and look at my screen. make money.
Farming NMs for the rare drops =)

I use to get that ALL the time on any of my Mithra. Duno, something about cats! Endgame: Bunch of greedy jerks that only do what's best for THEM. Exp parties: 6k exp per hour ftw. Merits: No. I'm not going to *** my RDM for that. Farming: Lol. Camping NMs: Don't have any left to camp. In all honesty, my favorite thing about FFXI is finally shutting it off for the day. I would quit but I'm STILL addicted. I like to solo colibri on my rdm/pld :-D I'm working on more -x% physical damage gear for it. I can't wait to solo melee faust... hehe! ~Yote Getting a quest/mission done and getting reward
I'd have to say my favorite thing in game is completing big quests and missions and getting epic cutscenes as well as a nice reward. Nothing more satisfying than that.
By the way, why is this under Ifrit? I agree with Alyria. I like being able to go back and kill things that could once beat the crap out of you. But preferably things that still give xp at 75 so they provide a challenge! ;D
I also looove meeting lots of friends! One in peticular. *cough* Several I keep in contact with out of the game. :) I also really like leveling up and getting all kinds of new gear that I couldn't wear before! But getting the gear more often than not is problematic >< *cough* Askar for my DRK/SAM/PLD/DRG *cough* sorry.. I have lots of favorites ;P I enjoy doing quests for the sake of doing them. I've loged over 500 quests/missions to date.
My least favorite thing would be NMs. Sitting there for hours camping something that I may or may not claim and may or may not kill and etc drop etc win lot etc... I wish all NMs were popped. |
